Literal Translation: "With (a) male you shall not lie (the) lyings of a woman. (An) abomination is that.[2]" and then they say the word 'with' was added. Which leaves:

What the Church does encourage is that young men starting at age 18 go on a mission for the Church. Young women are not encouraged as strongly to go on a mission.

The Church has always encouraged marriage but since when is someone in their 20's considered "underage"? The Church has NEVER encouraged underaged teenagers to get married.

The Church does not encourage (or condoned) a man in his 30's or older marrying a woman who is 18. The fact that things were different in the late 1800's and early 1900's does not mean that this is what we believe.

My grandfather was 27 when he married his 14 year old bride. Neither were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They got married in 1913. That was something that was common centuries prior to about the middle of the 20th century.
