Supply and demand decides gas prices. If your policy, as president, is to increase barriers to US production, and therefore reduce supply, gas prices go up.
If your policy is to make it easier for companies to produce within the states, magically the US becomes self sustainable, decreases reliance on evil dictators like Putin, and prices come down.
So yes, it’s Corn Pop’s fault to a large degree, and it’s especially his fault for not removing all the barriers he installed to US production.
Bur… he’s stuck between the reality and his party. The left wants sustainable things, the reality demands fossil fuels stat…
