According to the CDC, the three main causes of death from covid are pneumonia, respiratory failure, as well as residual conditions and causes. Those residual conditions and causes do not include hypertensive disease, cardiac arrest, diabetes, adult respiratory syndrome, renal failure, heart disease, chronic respiratory diseases, obesity, and others. It seems to me that I am correct that most of the comorbidities are carried through the virus. While there are certainly many comorbidities - I'm talking the majority of those fatally ill who have covid have a comorbidity that is not preexisting. Namely, pneumonia and respiratory failure.
