I agree. The real problem is the school board tried to cover it up. Why? Most likely because the kid is trans (or appears to be, there's some debate about that). While incidents like this will be rare, they will happen. The left wants to pretend this cannot happen, so when they do, they cover it up.

Not pretending anything. Simply saying that acting like the bathroom policy had anything to do with the assault ignores that the second assault was in a classroom. Were they genuinely gender fluid or just taking advantage of the policy? Idk. Not that it actually matters: trans kids are just kids, and I would guess a rapist among them has about the same likelihood as the general population.

Did the school mishandle it because they were afraid of political backlash? Maybe. And if that can be substantiated, fire them. But it may have also been the policies about shielding a minor. We know the incident was reported, but we don't know if they withdrew from school or were transferred. It could have as easily been that their mom went ahead and signed then up at a different school and there isn't an automated system for flagging this sort of thing. I would prefer not to speculate, but there are more possibilities than the current narrative.

The father of the victim was forcibly dragged out of a school board meeting and the board members claimed no such incident had been reported, even though there is proof that it had been reported. There IS (or at least was) an active cover up. You're right that the board members should be fired, or better yet resign in shame.

It doesn't sound like a cover up to me. It sounds like people following the letter of the law and not really much else.

That situation was so poorly handled it's hard to believe it actually happened, but it did.

I don't know why they think when someone breaks a law in school that it should be handled any differently than outside school.

Yeah it's absolutely insane. Imagine someone getting raped at a Wendy's and the manager is like, "Oh don't worry, we will handle this in house".

I've always wondered that too, and not just for high school. When rape is discussed on college campuses they always say "the college should do something!" The colleges job is to teach, not law enforcement. It is not a college issue. Beyond full cooperation in investigation, the college has no responsibility.

Why is it that leftists are just so incapable of thinking things through to their logical conclusion?? If you're going to allow men, under any circumstance, to enter women's bathrooms, public locker rooms and public showers then, logically, this is the behavior you are going to get.

Considering that rape is a lot more prevalent in society than transgenderism, then the number of transgendered people who are uncomfortable going into their biological restroom is going to be must less than the number of perverts posing as transgendered so they can at a minimum just watch women and girls and at worst rape and kill them.

Transgendered people are just going to have to learn to be comfortable in the restroom of their biological gender, regardless if they have had any surgery or not. Either that or hold it until you get home.

You think this about making me happy? This is a public safety issue. When 9/11 happened, for good or for worse, that caused a whole lot of changes to try to insure public safety. When the pandemic hit that caused a whole lot of drastic changes, most of them for the worse.

In both cases a whole lot of people were inconvenienced.

So what you are saying is that because there are perverts out there then that is not a valid excuse to inconvenience a very small group of people. Especially when it is not an inconvenience. They had to live with using their biological genders since the first public restroom, locker room or shower was created. It used to be normal. Then left, without ever thinking about the consequences, just randomly started passing laws that allowed trans people and perverts to use public facilities not of their gender.

Because, like I said, the left never thinks things through to their logical conclusion.

The LGBTQ+ community is not all rapists, by the way. Only a small percentage of them are, and I personally would like to disown them from the community. No matter the rapists’s gender, rape is wrong, and I hope we agree there.

I was assigned a homosexual black man for over a year as a partner. I learned from him and he did a great job. I met him about 10 years later and all he did was bring back found memories. We both had a smile after meeting again. Hope you can agree that in grades K-12 that you need to go to a bathroom with your birth gender.

I've talked to gays, bi, and lesbians who don't care for LGBTQ+ and want stricter standards on what is or is not permitted into the 'community'. They feel not enough is being done to clamp down on child molesters trying to get some kind legitimacy through LGBTQ+ or people that cross lines with certain fetishes like BDSM.going from mutual consent to abusive relationship.
