OMG, you need to assign me to a tribe? Small government is my goal. There's a lot of stuff that the government does badly or shouldn't do, and I would like to see the government stop doing those things. I think the government making medical procedures illegal, like Texas Republicans are doing, is authoritarian. I think making vaccines mandatory like the Democrat President is doing, is authoritarian. You know from my support of your anti-vaxxer education program that I think anti-vax is a position that frequently goes along with willful ignorance of the science or statistics. I've had the vax debate with a couple California Democrats that refuse to take the Trump vaccine. I succeeded with one, but not the other. A Republican anti-vaxxer decided to get it after I mentioned the superpowers I got after my 4th dose of the Anthrax vaccine. Humor for the win.
Every time someone says either, "The left is stupid" or "The right is evil", I try to see if I can get them to see at least one bad thing their side has done. Just a little intellectual honesty. Nobody is perfect. No party is perfect. If you choose not to see the warts on the politicians you support, or the party you are affiliated with, you are deceiving yourself. Lucky for me, some of the Libertarian warts are impossible to overlook, like Vermin Supreme. Many in my party are worse about "muh freedumb" than the right wing kooks that stormed the capitol.
Issues can be argued. Tribes are a tool for popular delusions and the madness of crowds. You can count on me to support you when I agree with you and state my case when we disagree. Tribes be damned.
