Well, just like homosexuality, Netflix is trying to make all other identities disorders normal and change their definition. Pedophilia now, then like Canada, zoophilia will be next. They wont rest until the bar for human decency hits rock bottom.
Yea, it not like they are a content streaming platform, or anything. Providing a wide range of content is kinda their business model. But every corporation has to have an evil backroom agenda, I get where you are coming from. Life is just too boring without a cool evil plot...
Except it’s not about Netflix it’s about their employees hypocrisy. You want to have an open mind have one but don’t claim it and say this is not allowed. Way to miss the point in your desire to jump up and defend hypocrisy.
The stated intent of Cuties (and the original French film Mignonnes) was intended to criticize the hypersexualization of young girls. I watched it and it was clear to me they were being critical of Western culture's treatment of young girls. But it looks like you didn't take that from it.
Out of curiosity, did you watch Cuties? Or did you just repeat what someone else told you about the movie?
If you haven't watched the movie and you're repeating what someone else told you about the film, you should reconsider your association with someone who watched and said young girls are sexy.
I do not think, I know homosexuality is a disorder. You guys are just trying to change the definition. No I did not watched Cuties, I do not approve of it and I do not have to watch it. If you watched Cuties and think getting pervy with little girls us fine and homosexuality is not a disorder, then I am done talking to you. You are not worth my time.
If you haven't watched something, how can you have an opinion on it?
The POINT of the movie is that sexualizing little girls is pervy and very wrong. It shows how we have this whole cultural machine that does exactly that. The movie is condemning the same thing you are rightfully condemning; western culture sexualizes little girls and it's wrong.
Right? They keep saying they want to stop pedophiles, but they don't outlaw child marriages, they don't force pedo politicians to immediately resign. It's like they don't really mean it at all.
The problem is that in the US the sexualizing of minors is illegal. The movie made a point of what you're talking about by sexualizing minors instead of getting 18+ actors that sometimes look like minors.
I still don't really know how the protesting Netflix employees are the bad guys in all of this. I can't say I'm fully knowledgeable on the whole cuties debacle since it happened a while ago, but if what you're saying is true then that should give you all the more reason to be on the side of the protests. The fact that the executives at Netflix exploited minors, platformed a bigot, and then fired one of their trans employees for speaking out against said bigot means that they're the ones who are at fault.
You're just arbitrarily creating divisions where there are none.
Beverly Hills 90210 - Teenagers played by adults that looked like teenagers doing adult stuff.
Cuties - Teenagers played by literals teenagers(some as young as 13) doing adult stuff.
