I'm not defending the shooter. I truly have no idea why the judge let him out on bail, but the meme made it sound like he was just released with no strings - key details were omitted (bail, drug tests, ankle tracker). I wouldn't and don't want him out on bail. I don't know why the judge decided to do so, or why that bail amount was what it was. As far as partying afterwards...if he's not in jail and it doesn't violate the terms of his bond, he has the freedom to do so. Its in poor taste that his family would allow it, but I also don't know whether it was an actual party or just a family gathering. And honestly, I don't care. The party is an irrelevant detail.
I used supposedly for the amount because I read 25,000 in one article and all the others said 75,000. I could have looked up the actual court docs I suppose...
You also didn't say that Grace was released and never spent time in jail.
There is no right to not wear a mask any more than there is a right to walk around naked in public. If you want to protest on principle, you should do in the nude to demonstrate that nobody can tell you what to wear. I'm not suggesting a 16 year old girl come to school naked, but I'm sure she could come up with some creative way of violating her dress code without compromising her modesty.

Grace Smith actually issued statements afterwards in addition to her incident being on tape. So, yes, I'm more confident in what happened with her. She was given the option to leave and refused. She stayed and recorded her own arrest. I'm not judging her for doing it for publicity - she has identified something she considers injustice and getting it out there is what protesting is all about. She has collected over 100k to cover court costs, so I'm assuming she's doing all right in that regard. https://www.givesendgo.com/stand4grac
