The bulk of the alleged libs using imgflip probably aren't even aware that Soros has financial ties to factcheck dot org.. I know, I know, I know.. "show us your PROOF!"

But I digress.. FascistBook has been complicit with go0gl3 and Twatter to distort information and facts. It's possibly the worst for distributing free cool-aid to the masses.. Upvoted!

I think I just read one of the truest things I'll ever read.

I dumped Facebook almost a year ago. Sometimes I think about going back just because my friends and family who are still there but I just cannot bring myself to signing back up. So I haven't.

I'm on MeWe instead but I like Gab better. It was like pulling teeth just to get a small number of friends and family to join MeWe. I doubt I could ever get them over to Gab. Gab is just easier to use.

Likewise. Facebook free for almost 12 months and haven’t looked back. MeWe is ok, but I’ve found simple texting friends and fam is just as good as anything.

Very similar experience for me. I ask my friends and family why they continue to use FacsistBook when they simultaneously feel it is an evil construct.. Addicted to "likes" I guess..

Use Facebook like I do.

To connect to friends and family and not share political memes.

You don't go up to strangers on the streets and rub your politics in their face like a cat does it's rear end, do you?

Or maybe you do. That might be your problem.

Not Facebook.

Oh, yes, Facebook 𝘪𝘴 problematic. It isn't perfect as a place to share political ideas and theories of little substance. Perhaps that is because it was not it's intended design. And sure, you can argue that the customers, who do not pay for Facebook services - I might add - supply the demand and therefor should be a force for change, but what if people spilling their political bile all over Facebook 𝘪𝘴 exactly why it's algorithm is programmed to be so critical in how you conduct yourself around other people you just happen to disagree with.

They still sell your profile.

I really wasn't going to anyone's page, group or anything. I would just post on my page. That was more like putting a sign in my front yard. No one had to read it. It helped me vent my frustrations. Now I use ImgFlip and MeWe for that.

Good, hope they make some good money off it too, I am just that awesome.

Ever notice how the ads here are so up your alley? Wowie zowie, everyone loves Blake Shelton just like you, and they love Pepperoni Hot Pockets too. You must be a regular trend setter, huh?
Welcome to the www.

Honestly, Imgflip is a better place for venting frustrations.

Maybe I'm old but I just used Facebook as if it were a digital address book. I used to keep tons of notebooks with that information for years and it always got cluttered with updates that, for a time, it was nice for friends and family to update that stuff for me.

My phone does most of this already without the need of Facebook. Profiles for friends and family built into it. So, now it's even less used and just more of a source to reconnect with old friends or family who've fallen out of touch for one reason or another. Allowing us to connect through other avenues or simply stay somewhat distantly connected.

It's also good for "Hey, needed a new phone. Here is my number..." which for a time, a lot of people would get new phone numbers almost every year to every three years. It was very annoying. Most phone services now let you transfer your previous numbers which has cut down on that a lot. It's also a a less annoying way to announce things like parties, funerals, weddings, or reunions without being tagged in someone's text list which pings every message in the group like a singular text message. I hate that.

I agree with you about Facebook. I was able to connect to family members I've never met and some I haven't seen is a very long time. I was born in the South but I was raised in California. My parents left the South when I was 1 and so I have a lot of a family back there that I don't get to see very often.

I was also able to connect with my high school friends that I haven't seen since the 70's. I'm on the old side as well.

But there are too many things that just annoy me with Facebook. Like if you don't have any correspondence with a friend in a while you see less and less of what they post. Facebook would rather put ads in your feed than show you what a friend posted.

MeWe is a bit on the clunky side but they just show you everything that your friends post in chronological order. Gab is the same way but they are much simpler to use than MeWe. None of them put ads in your feed and none of them sell your profile information.

The left is dissing Gab really bad but I just don't get it. Yes, a whole of conservatives that Facebook pissed off have gone to Gab, MeWe and others but so what. Those other social media sites weren't created just for conservatives, they were created for everyone. MeWe was started by a Democrat, I don't know about Gab. They both just wanted to be everything Facebook used to be before they sold their soul.

However, I would never post a phone number on Facebook. Facebook is just not secure enough. I would use Facebook's private messenger and I don't even trust that.

They harvest everything. There is no privacy in your private messages.

Are you afraid that #WalkAway and #Blexit are depleting the Democrat party of all of their influence? For those of on the sane side of things the Dems lost their influence... well... they never had any influence. They've always been about power and control and in the Land of the Free all political power resides in the individual, not the government. And we don't want to be controlled.

No, I’m actually worried about liberals electing populist Republicans with extreme views rather than fiscal conservatives.

You and me both. I wish Trump was was a fiscal conservative. I wish he was a strict Constitutionalist but he was neither.

2018 is so you-can-scratch-that-bs-off-your-list ago, and 2020 saw the orange race exploiter lose his seat while trying to impede the voting access of those he viewed not as likely to vote in his favor.
It's 2021, do try to catch up. Oh, and save your racist clatrap for your FB fanfic groups.

I know, it's rough when you're held accountable for your BS and lies.

I get it.

Your fragile little egos can't bear even the slightest feedback. You're mommy's precious angel, and you're right. Even when you're dead-ass wrong.
