The sad truth and the one the democrats will never admit is obvious to us outsiders. Even if the magic tax dollars, could buy free health care, education, housing for everyone and pave the streets in gold, the corruption in the party would drain the funds and wreak havoc on us all. Democrats create victims not solve problems.

Free healthcare costs less than your corrupt healthcare, and has been long since achieved quite successfully in EVERY other developed country.

Well I'm not in the US at the moment.

The wait time alone are enough of a reason universal care would fail here but we have an even bigger reason to never trust it. We have never seen either of our main political parties use our tax dollars well or even as claimed. The fake stimulus and infrastructure lies are examples. We just can not trust them to do the right thing. If universal care is expected to work, term limits and extreme punishments for government waste would have to be passed first.

Nah.... It is just a simplification. Dems always raise taxes and they promise free stuff. The government has no money other than what they steal from us or borrow from other countries or worse themselves (i.e. future generations of taxpayers). So if they are going to give you something for free they first have to steal it from someone else, either US taxpayers, foreign taxpayers or future US taxpayers.

In other words, they put taxpayer money to good use - healthcare and student debt, for example.

If destroying the economy is a good use then I guess you are right. The government is extremely inefficient and expensive. It would be much less expensive for people to just buy it themselves. Not to mention the devastating effect it has on the economy when the government steals more money.

Go to YouTube and look up the Broken Window Fallacy. You'll find a few but one of the better ones is by John Stossel.

Then maybe buy an economics book. Thomas Sowell has an excellent one called "Basic Economics". Sowell is in his 80's now and he is still smarter than you, me and everyone else on ImgFlip combined.

Denmark has the highest suicide rate in Europe. Their government taxes everything to death. A car costs 3 times as much in Denmark as it does in the United States and the additional cost is all taxes.

Sweden tried Socialism and it nearly destroyed their nation so they back off and are more market driven.

Socialism and anything close to it destroys wealth and the economy. There is nothing in the Scandinavian countries that we should emulate as far as their government is concerned.

What we need to do is return to the size and scope of government that our founding fathers gave us. Freedom is the answer to all of our problems.

They don't have socialism, idiot, and are doing quite well. And they get much more from their taxes than you do, and have more spending money.

Sure, USA Today accurately depicts the problems of Venezuela as corruption, but that is often a hallmark and a direct result of socialist control of the government.

Nothing fell apart until Chavez took over and ushered in the socialist era in Venezuela. Now it's basically a military dictatorship, like many other south american countries.

And the Democratic Party is not socialist. Neither is taxpayer funded healthcare, education, etc.

You elected Kamala Harris to the white house - she's openly endorsed "Democratic Socialism" and endorsed the "Green New Deal" which is openly socialist.
