My initial source for the FBI claim came from a CBS news article which cited an FBI LEOKA report for 2020 as their source for the 28% increase. When I scroll through the FBI LEOKA webpage I find the reports stop at 2019. Either CBS lied or that report hasn't been made public yet. I myself don't think CBS would lie about that being that they have a left wing bias.
