What you probably heard was him commenting about some emerging results from research that suggested UV light, heat and humidity are detrimental to COVID-19. But I guarantee you he never said the virus would be gone by Easter or with warmer weather. He might have hoped it would but he never made any statement promising it would be.

It's hard to see but if you zoom in there are light gray colored lines above the dates indicating where they are... If Jan 7th was the latest day shown on the chart the gray line would be all the way on the right side. I see how that would be confusing though.

Okay also FYI cases started going downward before Trump left

Trump must have been doing the right thing because it started a downward trend BEFORE Biden took office

If you look at the longer term chart of the 2 I posted, you might notice the 3 clear spikes towards the top... Each peak in cases is about 1-2 weeks after 3 major US holidays where people tend to gather indoors..... Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years.... I don't think that is a coincidence.

There isn't really any major holiday where people gather together after New Years day so I would imagine cases go down now somewhat regardless of what trump did or didn't do. Honestly I don't remember him doing much of anything before Biden took office except goin on and on about alleged voter fraud.

The vaccine may or may not have also contributed to the decline in cases. Hopefully Biden can really get that ball rolling.
