Yes, that's why the meme is about U.S. politics.

Try reading the bottom text. That's where the U.S. politics are.

So what you're saying is, China and the US are not involved in any way as it relates to US politics?

If that's so, why do we even have a State Dept? Why do we even pretend to care about human rights violations in other countries? Why are any nations our allies?

I suppose in the late 1930's, you'd have been the one saying we should leave Hitler alone as he took the Rhineland, the Sudetenland, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Danzig, and Poland?

I could understand that point of view if you're a Libertarian, as they're pretty much against the US conducting itself a member of a world community.

But the reality of it is, the US and China are the two toughest kids left on the block. We are intertwined and cannot easily disentangle And the other sad reality is, the two toughest kids on the block are going to tangle sooner or later. Especially when one of those two is new to the block, as is case with China. And that doesn't even take into account their very public statements about wanting to defeat the US.

As far as what you're saying about humor, flush out your headgear. The politics stream can be about humor, as is pretty evident by looking at a fair number of memes.

However, please re-read the first sentence in the politics stream description. It says: "Humor and discussion around U.S. and world politics..". It doesn't say humorous discussion only.

So not being American is why you're saying you should get a pass on entirely misunderstanding what "Humor and discussion around U.S. and world politics." means?

Well, okay. As the American constructively criticizing you, I believe we Americans are a kind and forgiving people. And quite honestly, it's not that big of a deal anyway.

And... what about racism? Hopefully nobody condemns an entire country's people because their govt is corrupt. I don't hate the Iranian people, or the North Korean people, in spite of their evil govts.

Also, let me ask you something else, because being long-winded myself (as you can probably tell from my previous reply, and this reply) I am often f in this position with most memes I make. Is a meme about one subject, supposed to somehow tie in every other possible related subject, multiple other subjects, maybe at least one other subject?

So, for example let's say sharps45 decides to make a meme about China's program of infiltrating the US for information gathering purposes, from federal govt officials, local mayors, etc., by deploying hoochie spies. Is he supposed to somehow tie in China's incredible record of sick racism and racial oppression? How much information is he supposed to fit into one meme? Memes are a fairly limited medium in terms of communication, imo.

Trust me on this, the most effective memes, as far as I can tell, are narrowly focused as far as their subject. Sometimes a well constructed meme can communicate a great deal with a minimum amount of words. Those are the best memes, imo. And if humor can be worked in as well, then that's a bonus. Even if it's sarcastic or ironic humor... which is often lost on the geniuses here on imgflip.

If you condemn the 1930s-1945 german nazi party for the holocaust does that mean you're "racist" against germans? you should win a prize for one of the most retarded comments I've seen today

So is accusing someone of racism when their post had literally nothing to do with race.

China isn't a race, it's a country. And a country with a history of genocide, racism, and oppression of both its own people and those in neighboring countries. China IS disgusting. The chinese people are not their government, and not part of his comment. Grow up and stop looking for things to be offended by, it shows a completely lack of maturity, and in this case, a complete lack of critical reasoning skills.

Ha criticizing a country that kills its own is racist now. Don't make me laugh.

politics is usually where people come to hate on Joe Biden and give their usually controversial opinions, so nothing about it is lighthearted or nice anymore.
