Silicon Valley is the engine that is driving the world. It happens to be located in California. When many of these companies were founded, California was a much saner place. Also, agriculture is a huge contributor to the GDP. Even the liberals in Hollywood contribute with films, TV and entertainment. Texas has 3/4 of California's population and is heavy in agriculture and oil and gas production. Having lived in both California and Texas, we enjoyed the beauty of California but prefer the sanity of Texas.

Reasons for the visit by Prime Minister Modi of India and the Trump visit to India were to allow more Indian workers to work in the US on H-1B visas. This is a process that's been going on for several years under George W. Bush, Obama & Trump. Unfortunately, American workers frequently are asked to train their foreign replacements when they are laid off and foreign workers work for less money so that is the incentive for the companies to bring them in. Bill Gates Microsoft and Apple, all of the California high-tech companies are in favor of this program and are fighting to keep it while millions of Americans have been unemployed. Personally, I wish the program would be scaled back drastically.

California’s economy is robust despite the Democrats, not because of them. This has many reasons but primarily the strength and diversity of the economy allows it’s abuse and continued performance, but California ranks more like 32 in state economic health.
The Walmart theory of China relations is a loser, “ let them have whatever they want”, we don’t want to jeopardize the supply of cheap crap we sell.

Trump has had 4 years in office and has not made America great. America is in a much worse state than with Obama, and has been since Trump took office.
