Wow, didn't know that. So sad. I searched it, and it said that most died from the second cholera outbreak, but some were murdered for fear of contamination. Not sure how true though.

There's a reason Australian settlement by Britain started after the American Revolution, as this was its penal clony prior. Folks I tell never know or believe this.
1 up, 4y
yup, they taught us that in school.. I know many American ancestors were simply sent here for hunting deer during the black laws and a famine. all deer were considered the Kings. Many ppl were put to death for it too. I suspect that many Australian ancestors were just poor starving ppl too.

we should do the same with Nickle back fans lol

From what I’ve heard Australia was a British penal colony. I guess that was before they started in with the genocide against the Aborigines and the Maori? Maybe Fat_Elvis can chime in on this one.

I can only speak for myself obviously, but I support this meme as a step to broadening the context and perspective. This isn't just about African slaves. Yes, racism exists, and has been directed at African Americans, among others. Expanding the context helps to prove a *systemic* racism. It requires however, the abandonment of the victim-villain dynamic which some seem very attached to.

And Hillary would’ve been too. But Bill screwed up and paid the price. No, my dislike of Trump is not for his being white, it’s for his white supremacist platform, and fanning the flames of racism in the white community to form this coalition of hate that he’s used to make billions for his family. Make no mistake, the con artist in chief doesn’t care about you or anyone else that’s not named Trump. You all need to wake up before it’s too late.

You hated Obama so much you couldn’t stand it. It literally drove you insane, because you’re that racist. Obama did a great job, vastly better than Trump is doing now and eill ever do...

But then there’s Trump who’s a racist just like you, and he hates Latin immigrants just like you, and he says ignorant things just like you, and his rhetoric gives you shivers down your racist spine, because deep down you know what MAGA means.

It means going back to the way things were when blacks and minorities weren’t even allowed to breathe the same air as you, unless they were serving you in some way. Even now your selective appreciation for African-Americans is entirely self-serving. You really ought to be ashamed but you’re still too ignorant for any real self-reflection.

“ Expanding the context helps to prove a *systemic* racism. It requires however, the abandonment of the victim-villain dynamic which some seem very attached to.” Please explain what you mean by expanding the context. Also, you call it victim-villain, others call it black-white. Either way it exists and you can’t admit and deny something at the same time. It doesn’t work both ways.
[deleted]
6 ups, 4y,

2 ups, 4y
Or is that concept foreign to you?
3 ups, 4y,
1 reply
"Expanding the context" means recognizing that this is bigger than just black and white. It means recognizing that all forms of racial discrimination, no matter who they are directed at or who is doing the directing, are part of a racial bias built into the system. That's *systemic*.

Black-white does not imply the power dynamic that victim-villain does. There are some who cannot let go of the idea that "white people" are to blame and must face "black" vengeance. These people are an obstacle to unity and equity.

Seen in this way, the meme is not a competition or a justification. It is a step towards recognizing the overall problem that has affected the country as a whole, which rather than denying systemic racism, recognizes and provides support for the concept.
1 up, 4y,
3 replies
This meme deflects while completely denying the white supremacy in *this* country. What does Africa have to do with anything? Sure, the racial bias can be expanded to include other minorities as well like Latinos and Native Americans. You can try to degrade the argument and claim “you’re just crying victim” but that’s an admission in itself.

The idea of black vengeance is white paranoia. Just like the claim that people want black superiority. Again, I’m sure there are some who do but that’s not what most of us want. And claiming black vengeance exists is also an admission in itself. Vengeance for what?

You want to take a step towards recognizing the overall problem then admit that systemic racism and white supremacy exists in this country without any “buts” or disqualifications.

So now I’m going to create white supremacists by calling attention to the systemic racism and oppression in this country? Unbelievable. And who’s threatening who anyway?

You just can’t stand being called out, can you? Your epic rant (which was incredible btw) lays out scenarios that your kind has historically done to people of color for hundreds of years in this country alone.

Your scenario leaves a lot to be desired, really. It doesn’t even come close to encompassing the full breadth of what’s been going on in this country. You’re trying to deny racism exists today, but we have ugly reminders of it daily. When Karen is the manager, that’s how systemic racism starts: https://twitter.com/OnlyKarens/status/1279529762591920128?s=20

Calling immigrants “invaders?”

About the Squad: “Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came,“ AOC was born here.

He said this about Baltimore: “ a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess...no human being would want to live there.”

About the so-called caravan invasion: “I mean, when you have 15,000 people marching up, and you have hundreds and hundreds of people, and you have two or three border security people that are brave and great – and don’t forget we don’t let them and we can’t let them use weapons. We can’t. Other countries do, we can’t. I would never do that. But how do you stop these people?”

Then an audience member yelled, “Shoot them!”

About immigration: “‘Those shitholes send us the people that they don’t want...We don’t need more Haitians.’”

Trump ordered a “travel ban” on the citizens of seven predominately Muslim countries: Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen, except Saudi Arabia even though 11 of the 13 hijackers on 9/11 were from there.

About Democrats: “They intend to use open borders, free HealthCare for illegals, citizenship and more to enact a political coup by importing and then legalizing millions of new voters.” Lies, all lies.

Now I have a questIon for you: how does Trump unify this country?
4 ups, 4y,

"Calling immigrants 'invaders?'"

You mean a caravan of people looking to illegally cross our borders? That is not immigration, that IS invasion.

"About the Squad: 'Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came,'"

Why did you assume he meant a foreign country? Are you racist enough to think that people of color can't come from the United States?

"Baltimore: ...rat and rodent infested mess"

That city has a rat problem so bad, that they made a documentary about it. Speaking the truth is divisive, now?

"Then an audience member yelled, 'Shoot them!'"

Is the president now responsible for what audience members say?

"...shitholes..."

I love all of these reports by "a source familiar with 'x'". No one can verify them, but they are breathlessly reported and discussed as absolutely true.

"Trump ordered a “travel ban” on the citizens of seven predominately Muslim countries: Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen, except Saudi Arabia even though 11 of the 13 hijackers on 9/11 were from there"

You mean the countries tagged by the Obama administration as the most dangerous at the time?
And even though you didn't mention this, I feel the need to state that if this was a "Muslim ban,"
as it was so widely reported by the Left, then why were 80% of the world's Muslims not included in it?

"About Democrats: .... Lies, all lies."

Are you serious? California voted solidly Republican until the 1988, what changed? Why were Democrats touting the possibility of turning Texas Blue? Their mantra of "demography is destiny" has been paraded for years. It's why they try to paint the Republicans as racists. Democrats hope if enough people of color believe Republicans are racists that they won't actually realize that Leftist policies make their lives worse.

"how does Trump unify this country?"

Trump consistently worked for the betterment of this country as a whole. His speeches speak to a unified America that puts its citizens first. The only way the Left can fight it is to lie and call his speeches racist.
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
Why did you assume he meant a foreign country?

Because some of the squad Is from another country.

Trump consistently worked for the betterment of this country as a whole.

How?

His speeches speak to a unified America that puts its citizens first.

His scripted speeches do. But what he says at rallies, in interviews and on Twitter is a whole other story.

The only way the Left can fight it is to lie and call his speeches racist.

His speeches speak for themselves. And that was just a small sample. There’s loads of quotes out there. But you know this.
1 up, 4y
"But what he says at rallies..."

Please give me examples of what he has said at his rallies that are divisive.

"His speeches speak for themselves"

Yes. They call us to be better people and live up to our ideals, but I don't think you mean it that way.

How has Trump bettered the country?

I think Memedave has a good list going in this thread, so I'll refer you to that instead of repeating what he has already said so well.

Yes. "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!" says BlueNinny. "It's just a figment of your imagination! No black supremacy, threats of vengeance, or continued violence here!"

You must either be completely deranged (a distinct possibility), or you think people are too stupid to pay attention to what you say.

You here: "The idea of black vengeance is white paranoia." (racism, by the way)

You elsewhere: "you and your white supremacist buddies (assuming my race) are terrified that what happened to blacks is going to happen to you!"

You sit here, having threatened people with vengeance, using the language of revenge, but then you have the audacity to say that "the idea of black vengeance is white paranoia"...?

Here's an example of your "white paranoia: "“White women are lucky that we are just calling them ‘Karen’s.' And not calling for revenge,” - Karen Attiah, Wash. Post global opinions editor.

You're either completely deranged, an expert liar, or both. So go f**k yourself and your attempts to pretend that the "the idea of black vengeance is white paranoia." It's a load of shit.

"Again, I’m sure there are some who do but that’s not what most of us want."

Indeed...but it IS what YOU want.

" And claiming black vengeance exists is also an admission in itself. Vengeance for what?"

Logic failure, 10 yard penalty.

1. Only an idiot would pretend that there weren't millions of black slaves in the US until 1865. Vengeance for THAT, if nothing else. Unfortunately, the people who committed those sins are long dead, and taking vengeance on their great-great-great-great grandchildren...along with a whole lotta collateral damage in the form of people whose ancestors had nothing whatsoever to do with slavery...is, itself, answering evil with evil.

2. Let me educate you by giving you an illustration:

Someone...let's say Manhattan...comes along and steals your car. "Where's my car??" you screech. And, because I happen to be walking down the street at the time, and because you have a long-standing animosity towards me, you blame ME for stealing your car...even though I had nothing to do with it.

Nevertheless, you insist I stole it, and after a while, you nurse your grudge against me until one day you break into my house, rape my daughter, and kill my wife to get your "vengeance."

So even though I'm totally innocent, you still decided to "take revenge" for something that was entirely constructed in your own mind.

You follow..

Are you guys purposely being obtuse right now or do you genuinely believe that African-Americans *deserve* the mistreatment they’ve been and are continuing to get in this society? And no I’m not referring to Beyoncé or Kanye or anyone else who’s found a way to capitalize off of it. Pull up a Karen video or two and you’ll get a taste of how people of color get treated. It’s not just every day citizens. It’s permeated every aspect of our government.

I haven’t seen any evidence that this murder was racially motivated. It’s only an assumption based on the fact that the officer is white and the victim was black. In fact one of the other officers involved is also black.
If you know of anything that proves what the officer did was because Floyd was black (other than presumption and speculation) please share.

I agree.

Maybe 13 percent of the population shouldn't be committing more than half the murders in America and they would get treated better by police. Because that's four times their "fair share".

Maybe if they weren't burning their cities down, looting stores and committing heinous crimes, you would actually have a point. All this summer blacks have proven their critics correct.

Let's face it. You're just a libtard feeding your emotional spasms because you are mentally ill.

Again, why do you think things are like this in the black community? They’re just a shitty race of people who don’t care about their kids? It’s like you’re holding up the effects of systemic bias, racism and white superiority as some example of how African-Americans somehow deserve being mistreated without admitting that the mistreatment happened first. You can’t kick someone in the teeth then blame them for not brushing when their teeth fall out.

AGAIN " Look at the Tuskegee institute graph " I guess they are racist . smh

If you NEVER teach a kid to wipe his own ass and /or discipline them, YOU will be wiping their ass 4 ever.. figure it out..
3 ups, 4y
I don’t. Most black people are not criminals, but a larger proportion Per capita of their population is involved in criminal activity. This has many drivers but not solely white racism. How about glorification of gangster lifestyles? Certainly poverty and other standard drivers also play a part and sometimes people may not like you and sometimes it might be because your an asshole not because your black.

If irrational libtards weren't perpetual victims, even they would have to admit to their utter irrelevance in society. Leftists are some of the most useless creatures on the planet, but unfortunately, not harmless by any means. They need to be dealt with.

there's good leftist out there, im heavily right but i've met some leftist with good intentions and not ones to burn down cities over a criminal

What makes you think I’m a failure at life? Because we disagree? What do you know about me other than that? Do you envision me a homeless person making memes at the library or something?

I don’t know if we could go as far as to say that what Chauvin did was “routine.” It could be or it could just be an unwritten rule, a culture or philosophy that’s encouraged or promoted. Who knows? The numbers, however, tell the story. The disproportionality. But you already know this Timber and that’s why I’m done wasting my time with white supremacy deniers.

There's also more black supremacist groups like the black 'Israelites' than white ones AND disproportionate hate crimes coming from the black community but mr black supremacist won't touch that.

Right that is the result of revenge racism which is what they are calling for here. Slightly different situation here though. Whites are the majority not the minority as they are in South Africa.

revenge racism? we didnt invent racism, racism is a term used to describe someone judging another person for their color, we didnt invent that, it's a term used since god knows how long

Those who purport to abhor racism that become practitioners of the very racism they decried. Racism can’t be defeated with Racism nor Hatred with hate. Read up on your MLK. As I saw on here someone’s say he never tore down a statue or prompted murder in any protest he led and changed the world. So blow it pony boy

Do you even see how hypocritical it is to complain about this? Who’s calling for this in this country? Who? I’m hearing “justice” and “equality.” Is this a slippery slope to you like gun control? Are you afraid that if minorities get equality you’ll eventually lose your superiority altogether?
3 ups, 4y
You are ignoring attacks against the founders, the flag, the national anthem, cultural icons. All that points to revenge racism. How is it you are deaf to that? I no longer hear anything about justice or equality the other attacks have drown it out. BLM as an organization is anti American and are the enemy. You may justify it as part of the plan or acceptable collateral damage. I don’t and that’s why you have lost many potential supporters who would agree addressing police actions are needed and exposing real racism wherever it is and not fake nooses

How are they racially stereotyping white women when they are literally just videos of white women being racist toward people of color? If the videos result in them being stereotyped then they’re stereotyping themselves.

“Name a system that is racist. Last I checked there is no such thing as it is not legally allowed.” Do you think because something isn’t against the law that means it’s not racist? Are you kidding me? Do you have any idea how many laws and court cases had to happen to fight racism in our educational system alone? Do you have any idea how many black kids have been shoved away into special ed classes as a form of low-key segregation decades after the civil rights act?

Do I really need to go into the disparity in the court system regarding the way blacks get sentenced? No I don’t.

Exactly, surrender to the point. You can’t supply a single evidence of the system being racist. The racism you claim is “systemic“ is not. Does racism and prejudice exist? Of course it does as long as there are humans it will and it is practiced by some members of all races. Say that and fight that but condemning people for the actions of their ancestors is ludicrous. You can’t achieve equality with more racism.

I just said the educational system and the courts. That’s TWO. Want more? Immigration, child protective services, jails. More?

Oh so every system, this is gonna be a long argument. What is an example of “Systemic” Racism in the educational system? I am truly trying to understand your logic here.
2 ups, 4y
Name one single example of systematic racism in America.

Protip: Besides affirmative action, which BENEFITS blacks, you can't. The only racism that permeated government is scumbag racists like AOC and Omar.
