Hydroxychloroquine has been around for over 70 years and IS approved within a hospital setting for use in treating COVID-19 and has 60 approved studies by the CDC for efficacy of treatment of COVID-19.

Hydroxychloroquine is an off license/generic drug that's dirt cheap and will make NO MONEY for the Pharmaceutical Industry. So don't look for any love coming from Big Pharma. Probably just the same liberal line “Trump isn’t a doctor and he doesn’t know ANYTHING!” As if the most powerful man on the planet doesn’t have access to more information and updates that some prick typing on a computer in his momma’s basement and eating hot pockets OR some guy sitting behind a “news” desk being fed the lines he’s supposed to say by the DNC.

On the political side and for much of the media whether it works or not is NOT the issue. It's now tied to Trump and therefore must be downplayed and discredited. Sadly in politics...saving lives is really not the first priority. That's why a drug that you can only get with a doctors prescription, has been used everyday by MILLIONS of people worldwide for 70 years...is now suddenly very dangerous.

If hydroxychloroquine proves in test/trials to be effective...do you really believe the media will spend more then 5 seconds announcing that news? Of course not. Now if Obama had made the same exact statements concerning hydroxychloroquine and it then proved to be effective...he would be up for another Nobel Prize. No matter what happens Trump will never be given credit by most of the media, why? ...because politics is war and Trump knows that.

Look, I have family and friends in healthcare and many have told me that in many cases hydroxychloroquine and Remdesivir are their only hope right now and both do appear to work and they’re confident these drugs have saved lives. But CNN might mention positive test results for 10 seconds ... maybe.

Trump is the perfect scapegoat because his ego/style and manner make him appear wrong even when he's right and of course the media takes advantage of this. Trump could cure cancer, and it would make no difference.

And the libs and anti-Trumpers just ignore anything positive and twist it to be negative ... as usual.

This right here:

Hydroxychloroquine has been around for over 70 years and IS approved within a hospital setting for use in treating COVID-19 and has 60 approved studies by the CDC for efficacy of treatment of COVID-19.

Is bullshit. You are going to get people killed. Knock it the f**k off.

Here are the actual guidelines from the CDC:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/therapeutic-options.html
and https://www.covid19treatmentguidelines.nih.gov/whats-new/

Relevant Text: Chloroquine/Hydroxychloroquine:
The Panel recommends against using high-dose chloroquine (600 mg twice daily for 10 days) for the treatment of COVID-19 (AI), because the high dose carries a higher risk of toxicities than the lower dose.
The FDA warning that cautioned against the use of chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19 outside the setting of a hospital or clinical trial was added to this section.

As you can see the CDC and the FDA are in agreement with a "stay the f**k away from this stuff"

Remdesivir was in clinical trials, but it's not looking good. The study was stopped due to unacceptably high adverse side effects in the test subjects. Here's an actual real study done with science and stuff: https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)31022-9/fulltext

Relevant text: Between Feb 6, 2020, and March 12, 2020, 237 patients were enrolled and randomly assigned to a treatment group (158 to remdesivir and 79 to placebo); one patient in the placebo group who withdrew after randomisation was not included in the ITT population. Remdesivir use was not associated with a difference in time to clinical improvement (hazard ratio 1·23 [95% CI 0·87–1·75]). Although not statistically significant, patients receiving remdesivir had a numerically faster time to clinical improvement than those receiving placebo among patients with symptom duration of 10 days or less (hazard ratio 1·52 [0·95–2·43]). Adverse events were reported in 102 (66%) of 155 remdesivir recipients versus 50 (64%) of 78 placebo recipients. Remdesivir was stopped early because of adverse events in 18 (12%) patients versus four (5%) patients who stopped placebo early.

Maybe instead of believing the bullshit that Trump is selling you, you should look at actual science.

Hyperbole much? I'm going to get people killed? That's rich! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

That's what you HOPE. The more this media induced panic lingers, the greater you think your chances are of defeating Trump. And that's all you care about. Not the people killed by Cuomo or Whitmeir.

Actual science tests things but YOU dismiss anything Trump says with zero testing. Most people aren't that stupid. As a matter of fact, go to Clinicaltrials.gov
Spend some time there. There are actually dozens and dozens, perhaps even hundreds of tests going on with hydroxychloroquine and Remdesivir ... not just the one you prefer to reference. Talk to someone in the medical field -- anyone -- without an agenda (probably impossible for you) who has used hydroxychloroquine on patients. My nephew is on the front line as an MD and he's prescribed it for his patients (little secret, they got better faster than those who refused to take it).

Talk to two of my coworkers who have taken it for several decades for RA. This drug is not the poison you wish it to be. Quite the contrary.

Note that the guidelines changed on April 8 ... even when studies were still ongoing. According to HHS, 30 million doses of hydroxychloroquine sulfate have been donated to the SNS by Sandoz, the genetics and biosimilars division of Novartis, and Bayer Pharmaceuticals donated 1 million doses of chloroquine phosphate to the national stockpile. The drugs have been provided for possible use in treating patients hospitalized with COVID-19, or for use in clinical trials, the department said.

You people have only one thing in mind and it isn't "helping" people, it's defeating TRUMP at any cost -- money, lives, livelihoods. You don't care. You only have HATE in your hearts and you are worthless scum POS unable to think clearly because of your hatred.

So go back to hiding in your cupboard.

I did spend time on that site. You know what I found?

1 study completed in Singapore about Hydroxychloroquine and COVID-19. Results were in Chinese. However, it was completed in February, so if it had anything significant to report the CDC guidelines would have reflected this.

There are many studies in the beginning stages for Hydroxychloroquine and COVID-19, they have not begun or are still recruiting.

So. Again. The science says that Hydroxychloroquine is bad and don't take it.

I'm glad that your coworkers are able to find relief from RA using this medication.

However, they're likely taking a 200 mg tablet 1 time per day. The studies I have found that publish their dosage information- such as Novartis start with 600 mg for the first pill then 200 mg 3 times a day.

Literally 3 times as much as what your coworkers are taking.

That's not the same. At all.

So, let me repeat this:

Here are the actual guidelines from the CDC:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/therapeutic-options.html
and https://www.covid19treatmentguidelines.nih.gov/whats-new/

Relevant Text: Chloroquine/Hydroxychloroquine:

My wife does clinical research and was the manager over the study on Remdesivir. She worked for Merck at the time and the client was Gilead. She showed me a list of 500 people all over the country to got the drug through compassionate access. For awhile it was looking good and then it went south about the time she left Merck.
