eyyy anything can be pointless if i call it an "obsession". calling people a "child"? That's chosanwan level debate right there

sustainable infrastructure in the us is a real issue that not many pay attention to. it would be a benefit to many compared to adding extra lanes or building toll roads on a freeway. The reason it doesn't get a lot of attention is because the media hardly talks about it and would rather distract the public with pointless impeachment shams

Your opinion and other peoples' opinions of what is or isn't helping aren't the same and your opinion isn't somehow more valid than theirs. Just because he isn't doing the things you want doesn't mean he isn't doing anything.

i'm not saying my opinion is more valid. what i'm saying is that not many people here are offering a solution to the country's needs. what's your solution to stabilizing our economy?

IMO, severely cutting government spending is the only thing that will possibly save this country in the long run. However, we may be way too far in debt to reverse the ship. Both parties have contributed to the massive 20+ trillion dollars in debt with trillions more in unfunded liabilities. The US dollar being a reserve currency is only going to last so long and once that goes away and/or interest rates start to go up it is going to get really bad, really fast.
1 up, 4y
"IMO, severely cutting government spending is the only thing that will possibly save this country in the long run"

i agree there. currently, our government spends too much on military, and both sides that we've had in office for the past decades have been responsible for that. i consider myself a fiscal conservative when it comes to economics. i believe that the people should have a say and contribute to what happens to our money.

Stabilizing...

the best economy in 50 years.

Exactly how f**king stupid are you?
2 ups, 4y
doesn't mean it won't go down in recession within the next few years
1 up, 4y
Actually unrestrained growth is very DEstablizing.
Overinflated market bubbles pop way bigger. The collapse is due later this year in fact.
Further, low unemployment leads to higher wages leads to inflation.

During Clinton's years, key interest rates were RAISED in order to DELIBERATELY SLOW the overheating economy. Raising the cost of borrowing results in less eagerness to hire new workers. The point of that is to sustain a 4.3% unemployment rate which is considered optimal to maintain a healthy economy. Any LOWER will lead to the aforementioned wage increases as well as potential labor shortages and the subsequent impairment in sustained growth.

There's a REASON past upcycles did not reach the current unemployment levels, measures were taken to PREVENT it.

AKA the economy is rather unstable, we just haven't seen the negative results yet.

Hey, Va**naSouffle

There's a little organization you probably haven't heard of, what with your head shoved up your ass. It's called the "Federal Reserve System". There is your stability.

Oh, and for your information, Kreskin, someone is ALWAYS predicting an economic collapse.

japan believed it. why can't we have modern high-speed rail the way they have it, or let alone maglev? maglev isn't 18th century.

HOLY F**KING SHIT!!!!

You are that stupid.

Trains are only efficient WHEN THEY NEVER STOP. It takes a YUGE amount of energy to get them going. The more stops you put in the system, the more energy is wasted.

This is math, physics and science so elementary only f**king idiots like you can't understand it. This is why I say your opinion is worthless, and you are the last person on Earth anyone should turn to for anything.

As far as "maglev" goes, now you want to take all the energy INEFFICIENCY of the system AND now lift it off the ground?

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

trains take up less energy than airplanes because they aren't attempting to fight gravity. trains take up less energy when compared to multiple single-rider cars carrying the same amount of passengers as a train can. it's also easy to make a train comparatively lightweight.

"This is math, physics and science so elementary only f**king idiots like you can't understand it."

regarding economics, something that's taught in high school, trains work far better than either airplanes or cars. the only way cars and airplanes got the upper hand in america is through government lobbying and bailouts

"As far as "maglev" goes, now you want to take all the energy INEFFICIENCY of the system AND now lift it off the ground?"

the superconducting maglev only needs a small amount of electricity to get going. it uses 25% the amount of energy as an airplane.

HOLY F**KING SHIT!!!

No matter how stupid you sound, you always keep yammering and top it.

Trains don't fight gravity? Holy shit, you are so totally stupid it's unbelievable. Trains FIGHT GRAVITY every time they slow down or stop, and have to accelerate again. It's called "inertia".

If you are clueless about inertia, and why it goes to the heart of what I said, then you are literally too f**king stupid to have this conversation. You simply don't have any f**king idea of what you are talking about.

"You do realize gravity is a constant, right?!? It acts on all things equally. That's why we can create a vacuum and drop a brick and feather simultaneously in that vacuum and they will both land. at. the. exact. same. moment."

lmao i said that trains don't *fight gravity to the same extent* because they don't fly. Since you're so very intelligent, you realize it takes a lot energy to fly a hunk of metal and carry it across the country, right?
1 up, 4y
"Trains don't fight gravity? Holy shit, you are so totally stupid it's unbelievable. Trains FIGHT GRAVITY every time they slow down or stop, and have to accelerate again. It's called "inertia"."

trains don't have to fight gravity or inertia to the same extent that airplanes do. point is, trains work in other countries very well, and there is no reason why they shouldn't work here too, especially since they worked in the past before the government was lobbied into killing america's prosperous transportation network. don't americans deserve the freedom of choice of traveling comfortably rather than get stuck in car traffic, or deal with the post-9/11 hassle at airports?

" then you are literally too f**king stupid to have this conversation. You simply don't have any f**king idea of what you are talking about."

and you're the one without a solution to our transportation problems who resorts to name-calling. lmao

QUOTE : "trains don't have to fight gravity or inertia to the same extent that airplanes do."

HOLY F**KING SHIT !!!

As I predicted, you just couldn't be silent and let your level of stupid stand. Nope. You went above and beyond.

You do realize gravity is a constant, right?!? It acts on all things equally. That's why we can create a vacuum and drop a brick and feather simultaneously in that vacuum and they will both land. at. the. exact. same. moment.

TOTALLY UNF**KING BELIEVABLE THAT YOU ARE TOO F**KING STUPID TO KNOW THIS.

Mere words fail to describe the totality of your f**king stupidity. Even worse are the dick-suckers egging you on because you are too f**king stupid to see they are using you. THEY KNOW how f**king stupid you are, but they don't care if they can use you.

You are literally too f**king stupid to have an opinion on this matter, as I HAVE PROVEN. You lack even the most basic understanding of physics. You argue utterly from the position of total f**king ignorance.

Everyone stupid enough to listen to you should just do the opposite of what you say. That's my plan for tackling transportation issues. Whatever you are for, I will head the opposite direction.

I called a specific person an idiot, and it turns out he is totally f**king clueless about things like inertia. You might want to check on things like that before you start sucking the dicks of total f**king morons by defending them.
0 ups, 4y
Hey, Octavia!

You should check out the stupidity you are backing. The f**king idiot doesn't even know gravity is a constant.

You may now return to your normally scheduled dick-sucking where you defend that level of f**king stupidity.

REALLY?!?

The f**king idiot that proved he doesn't have a clue what inertia is or why it matters dares to mock anyone else?

I guess I should expect that from someone so f**king stupid.
1 up, 4y
inertia doesn't make a train trip slower than a plane trip between new york and buffalo. you're here trying to play a game with semantics by applying physics to a conversation which should be about economics.
1 up, 4y
"Hey, moron - things that use a lot of energy are expensive to operate. Physics dictates the economics. When you have to slow or stop a train then accelerate again it takes a LOT of energy. That energy has to come from somewhere, and since you can't power a train with solar that means BUYING the energy"

stopping and starting a train still doesn't take as much energy as an airplane taking off. All you really have to do to slow down a train is to decrease the power output. Also, trains can be powered with solar power.

Economics-wise, trains are a lot more efficient than planes. A plane has to be completely full to make a profit, while a train has to be just over 60% full. A pilot's salary is near double that of a train conductor's, and most commercial airplanes have 2 pilots. Airplanes need a specific explosive fuel to be usable, while trains can be powered with a reasonable electricity supply.

That's - you know - ECONOMICS.

I know you are too f**king stupid to understand that, so have Octavia explain it to you while he is bending you over and using you as his bitch. You know, because you are too stupid to see you are being used.

0 ups, 4y
What's your obsession with sucking dick before you even know if someone is a f**king moron, or not?

What's your problem with not calling someone a f**king moron after you find out THEY ARE A F**KING MORON?!?

What's your problem with someone calling you out for defending A F**KING MORON?!

NOBODY put a f**king gun to your head and made you suck dick. That was YOUR choice. If you didn't think to ask if they were VD'd to the max before you sucked their dick - also your choice. Nobody to blame here but YOU.

That you turned your attention to me instead of yet again defending the F**KING MORON means - while incredibly late - YOU also realize what a F**KING MORON they are, and always will be.

AND THAT pisses you off more than anything else in this world. It galls you. It eats away at you. It drives you bat-shit crazy that I was right.

If you had stopped for two seconds to educate yourself BEFORE YOU SUCKED DICK, we wouldn't be here.

So let this be a lesson - read first, suck dick later, if at all.

The problem with most liberals is they don't want what's best for America. Just look at the SotU. I don't know if any Dems clapped for various things I thought they would. For example, a record number of minority jobs. Thought they'd go nuts for that. Anti America isn't something I want to be.
