in my opinion, your comment exemplifies the majority of American opinion.
you analogy is not a very good one, because it implies noble intent.
a better analogy would be if the sheriff was up for re-election and reached out to the local drug dealer to dig up dirt on his opponent, because he knows his opponent has a thing for cocaine and hookers.
is it your contention that this sheriff did this for his county?
to reveal the debased habits of his opponent,to spare his neighbors the possible horror of having a cokehead for a sheriff?
or is it more likely the motivation was purely for selfish and self-serving needs?
another thing your comment reveals, and I find it troubling, but kind of understandable,is how desensitized we have become to corruption, obstruction and over-reach.
we all KNOW our politicians are corrupt, but then people engage in "degrees" of corruption.usually along party lines.
but it is still corruption.
a few points to consider:
1.pelosi has a case.article 68 of the federalist papers lays out the legalities.
2.quid pro quo is a secondary issue
3.impeachment is a political proceeding,not a legal one.
4.it will most likely fail.*
5.giving fuel for trumps campaign.*
6.biden is done*
7.trump wins 2020*
*my opinion.things are still unfolding, and could change, but as of right now? that's my take.
another point I would like to make.i find it curious that Pelosi refused to impeach trump, even when there was precedent, but that changed when trump exposed the biden corruption.
I call it the "Bernie Madoff syndrome".
you can lie, cheat and steal as much as you like, but the second you go after the elite class?
we will take you down.
liars and cheats and thieves...
oh my
