Also, in my home town (Which has a relatively large Trukish and Arab minority 20-25% probably) I have never heard a school do that. About the Jews, yes anti-Semitism is on the rise, but just guess from who. Heres a hint: AfD

BWHAHAHA yeah, the influx of muslim migrants has nothing to do with it. It's all AfD boogymen. lol

Well to be fair it wasn't exactly the AfD. It was there right wing extremist friends. A large majority of cases of Harassment has been done by Right wing Extremists.

"Antisemitismus gehört zu den weltanschaulichen Grundüberzeugungen des Rechtsextremismus und ist in fast allen rechtsextremen Organisationen präsent." - Bundeszentrale für Politische Bildung

Translation:

"Anti-Semitism is one of the ideological foundations of right-wing extremism and is present in almost all far-right organizations. "- Federal Agency for Political Education

(Its a Govt. sponsored agency that acts like Wikipedia for politics, no its not here to brain wash us, and yes, it has Multiple Independent sources that check everything they post)

Funny how the influx of Islamists just coincidentally rose with anti Semitism. Your right wing politicians get censored and attacked in their offices and the streets. Stop bullshitting. No one buys it.

Maybe the likes of you. Here, enjoy: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisemitism_in_21st_century_Germany

That '90%' number is more leftist bs. "Everyone we don't like is a right wing fanatic"

AntiSemitism has been on a rise on parallel with the rise of Rightwing Extrimisim. Hell 90% of harrasment and discrimination of the Jews was done by Right wing Extremists. And the Muslims who did so too, were not Refugees, but people who have been living in Germany for a longer time. So nope, how about you just accept that right wing EXTREMISTs are behind the cause for the rise of AntiSemitism and not the Evil Muslim bogeyman

The numbers are in here, over 50% of verbal and physical abuse are done by MUSLIMS. Also, a 2012 poll found 18% of Turks think Jews of as subhuman.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisemitism_in_21st_century_Germany

But muh right wing!!!

Wait a minute, 50% over where?
3 ups, 5y
The Wikipedia page displays a graph showing over 60% of verbal harrassment and 80% of physical assaults were done by muslims as per a Bielefeld university study.

I'm not trying to demonize immigration but to say the rise in attacks is a right wing problem is disingenuous at best.

Skimming through various articles that came up by posting your exact words didn't turn up figures like that, includng an Israeli blog article. Although it was pointed out in one that while a minority, it was disproportionately high within the population.

That such attacks have risen since 2017 is hardlly on account of some increased Moslem immigration, which I thought Trump was supposed to end.

And what's wrong with demonizing immigration?
There are too many people here.
They (Moslems) mostly don't appreciate being here.*
Their countries need fixing.
They should stay home and do it.

*The only exemptions I've witnessed to this are Muslims from Senegal, Gambia, other Africans (except Somalis who are basically more Arabic anyways) and this family from Bangledesh near me - Those are the ONLY Muslims that express any fondness for here or even act like normal people instead of permanently constipated standoffish socially maladjusted whiners with an overblown sense of victimization and entitlement. I have no idea why any others (from Albania to Pakistan) move here given the utter contempt they have for America and the West, other than basic greed.

No no. How could I think of trusting my government or Police! Better trust some random person on internet whom I've never met
1 up, 5y
Regardless, I understand your position. We'd all like to trust our governments. However, in this regard the governments have a vested interest in keeping criticism about their immigration policies down. Is Germany on the level of Sweden yet? Probably not, but still...

"Define right wing spectrum?"

Conservatives or Right leaning organisations with Conservative ideals. No I am not going into what I think are Conservative ideals

"The wiki page states otherwise"

So am I to trust my Police, whoes statistics are fact checked by multiple news agency and other organisations, or a Wikipedia entry written by someone who most likely isn't German?
1 up, 5y
It doesn't matter what you think, the question is who exactly are getting lumped in under that label?

The Wikipedia had a study done by someone that doesn't have a bias nor lie on a regular basis, like the police and the government in certain European countries do to their citizens on the regular. But we shouldn't say too much. I'd hate if Merkel would sic her new Stasi on you for wrongthink. I know doors have been kicked down over facebook posts.

"Yeah, your 90% BS has already been debunked"

Really now? Because, I have about half a dozen articles and reports that have a number around 80%-90% when it comes to Antisemetic Offenses.

"don't misinterpretate the actions of others to try to smear them"

Again, you Debunked nada. All you did was cite Wikipedia, a source you yourself claimed was unreliable when I used it to show Trumps Racial History, at me and told me to trust the words and numbers of some random guy on the internet rather than German Reports, Reporters, Journalists and police.

So unless you can cite a German source or a non Wiki source based on German reports, you'll have a hard time convincing me of my supposed error

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.zeit.de/amp/politik/deutschland/2018-04/antisemitismus-berlin-juedische-schueler-angriffe

You will find this report also mentions that only 48 people of Foreign origin (And the term is defined loosly) commited anti semetic offenses.

"However, in this regard the governments have a vested interest in keeping criticism about their immigration policies down"

This has nothing to do with Germanys immigration policy. Talking about Offenses with Anti Semetic origins has, literally, nothing to do with our Immigration policy. You just despair at the fact that most of them are commited by right wing extremists. And I'd be pretty damn bitter too, if I'd find out left wing Extremists commit hate crimes in, idk, Canada or France. But, instead of trying to push for their innocence or relocating the Blame, I condemn them, because thats not what I belive in or thats not how I think it should be achieved.

But yes, you are right that you shouldn't completely trust the Government. But at the same time, when multiple independent sources back up their claim, or atleast confirm it, you have to belive something.

"Germany on the level of Sweden"

What are you talking about? Whats wrong with sweden?
2 ups, 5y
Yeah, your 90% BS has already been debunked AS THAT STATISTIC INCLUDES MUSLIMS. Are you being deliberate obtuse? Just because you condemn the far right, don't misinterpretate the actions of others to try to smear them. Then you have no credibility.

Sweden regularly misrepresented or supresses crime rates and the groups that cause them. I'm not sure if Germany is quite as bad as Sweden, but I doubt it as Sweden is the worst example.

""Anti-Semitism is one of the ideological foundations of right-wing extremism and is present in almost all far-right organizations. "

You realize of course that Islam could be considered a "far-right organization", right?
0 ups, 5y
Well not really no. But at the same time yes. Most religon is right leaning as it is rather conservative most of the time. But Islam doesn't preach hate against Jews on principle, unlike certain right wing extremists, the hate is deep rooted and comes from both sides due to historical diffrences and not Religon Still bad, yes, but not because Islam institutionalizes hate

I looked both up, and guess what, I couldn't find any article which said that School Headmasters told girls to wear Hijab to stop bullying. As to the Jews, I did not contest this, But guess who was the one discriminating and harassment against them for the most part? 90% Right wing Extremists. Of the Muslims who did so most where muslims who have been living for a longer time in Germany and Watch Arabic networks that aren't so friendly towards Israel. Not good, but not how you paint it to be.

I did a simple search and found many articles that say a girl was told to wear a hijab to stop bulling. https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/04/05/school-tells-parents-if-daughter-wears-hijab-her-bullying-problem-might-go-away/ or you can go to the a Germanic article https://www.bild.de/news/inland/news-inland/islamismus-an-der-grundschule-wassermaus-55213702.bild.html

Even Wikipedia disputes the '90%' number. They classify every group as 'far right extremists' even extreme Islamism.
0 ups, 5y
Thats odd, is that the News agency whoes owner supported article 13?

Any way, well hot damn. Thats horrific, thankfully action is being taken and the Islamic Council of Germany has sent some people to teach tolerance. The Federal government with their cooperation has started multiple projects to teach tolerance. Thankfully these are kids, and can be taught the error of their ways. Also, that Headmaster should really resign.

Not that Muslims don't get bullied, but to do so out of religous reasons is begond stupid.

You should check out the documentary "Borderless" on Youtube. Turns out that the people who really do need to flee in fear of their lives from ISIS and such just plain can't /afford/ to do so. The traffickers, who have set up a business of getting these people across the borders, charge hundreds, sometimes thousands of euros, just for a /chance/ to cross. And if something happens to screw up that chance, you don't just wait for the next opportunity, you have to pay again.

The majority of "refugees" that reach European countries like Germany are nothing more than "economic migrants".

Here's the link to the documentary if you want to check it out:

" /afford/ to do so."

They can't afford to walk? Pretty sure atleast most of them can walk

"The majority of "refugees" that reach European countries like Germany are nothing more than "economic migrants"."

I am aware that there are large amounts of people who are actually economic migrants and not refugees and so is the Government. Thats why the deportation rate is so damn high

I'll watch the link later

There's not that many Jews in Germany to 'elect' the ruling coalition. It is like saying all those between the ages of 68 and 69 elected the ruling coalition. Jesus.

They voted, or helped vote, the rulling Coalition into power, by voting for the members of said coalition
