If he hadn't paid the taxes he legally owes, the IRS would have been on him like that (because they do have access to his tax returns). The tax code has deductions for losses and cost of business and to support "desirable" behavior, such as building in certain area or hiring certain types if people.

Yet whenever he stays at a Trump resort (which is roughly 1/3 of his time in office) money gets paid to the hotels etc for Secret Service to stay there. Where do you think that money winds up?
