Because our democracy requires transparency, you shouldn't be conducting any government business with non-government email, regardless of whether it is your own server or not. This is a policy, not sure that it actually rises to the level of criminality. When the email is classified, that is another level. Note, we don't know whether or not Ivanka's emails were classified. There is no excuse that Ivanka didn't know after her father's campaign. To me the biggest outrage was when the Bush emails were subpoenaed in investigating the firing of 8 attorney generals, and potentially 22 million emails had been deleted that should have been retained.

Ivanka is his daughter. Melania is his wife.

You may just be being facetious, but for the record, Ivanka is the daughter and is a "senior advisor" to the president. It is also a big problem in a democracy and blatant nepotism that the president's relatives are appointed official positions in the government.
