What is with this current trend of trying to label right-wingers as communists, when communism has been clearly established for years now as a left-wing ideal?

I mean, at the very least it has been established for around /80 years at least/ that the right HATES communism, going back to the McCarthy trials and the "anti commie pinko" sentiments that swept America. It was the 20th century's version of the Salem witch hunts.

And now we're currently in the /21st/ centuries version (first version at least), only this time the communists are in charge and attacking anyone even remotely right-wing.

All these negative comments about assumptions, but in my experience this is true a lot more than it isn't.

Mine too. Usually Republicans are more vocal about their patriotism and value it more. That doesn't mean Democrats don't love America. And it is not enough to assume a party based on a flag.

It isn't true of all Democrats but it is definitely true of the Democratic Party platform. They banned the American flag from their own Presidential convention.
