Roads are the responsibility of local DOTs. That's my field of work, and the worst roads are found in states that are irresponsible with their funds. My state has some of the best roads in the country and a 2 billion dollar rainy day fund for emergencies. All that came about when the legislature completely changed parties. The Fed only offers up a minuscule portion for road projects.

Obama borrowed money and gave it to the states for "shovel ready" projects, not knowing that all shovel ready projects were already funded. New projects take years sometimes to be "shovel ready". The magic wand term was used to describe Trump's inability to bring back manufacturing...He must've waved that wand, because manufacturing jobs and industry is making a comeback.

I'd have to disagree with that one. Trump has created thousands of jobs just under his own companies. He also understands what happens when corporate tax rates are lowered.

Over 500 companies...and yes there have been a few bankruptcies, but that happens in business. Not every idea succeeds. At the time of his election Trump was required to list everything that he has oversight or has his name on it. Over 10,000 employees. That's not failure. That's called "winning".

So Trump was given start-up cash of a few million. Over 10,000 employees make a living and contribute to society because that. Reality show is just one of hundreds of ventures. That show was a Yuge success that ran its course.

Job growth h has been on the same trajectory under obams. Trump hasn’t added squat he just hasn’t f**ked it up. Yet. Carrier, Ford, jobs gone. steel jobs are a farce. Coal jobs too. Wind and solar jobs up though. But trump will f**k that up. Give it time. Those tariffs are gonna hurt jobs and those with jobs that pay taxes. Soybean farmer subsidies cost US money.

Actually that money ended up going instead to schools, fire depts, police, local gov't, garbage collection, and other municipal services in towns and cities once flush with Fed $s but that gambled it on Wall Street, losing it in '08.

Who cares? Apparently Trump. I've seen video of him complaining about it in 2010, 2012, and 2016. He even tried to claim his recent UN speech was actually meant to get laughter.

So, you're saying the guy who got us out of the great depression "really screwed us over", but the guy who (despite otherwise being, from my understanding, an excellent president) screwed us over economically by cutting regulations on big business and trying to implement trickle-down economics was good for our economy, then you're telling us to read some history books?

He did not get us out of the depression. It's a false flag. Implementing government programs that keep people in debt does nothing to stimulate the economy. They only appear to work until it's too late.

Then would you kindly explain to me why the USA prospered in the '40s and '50s while the New Deal was in place, and why European Countries where the New Deal was fully implemented prospered and are still prospering today?

Just because you read some political tract that told you the New Deal was "socialism" doesn't mean that you've done your research on history. I should know. I am very interested in history, so I know a lot about it.

Whether you agree that the accomplishments are positive is immaterial. They are still accomplishments. And the current administration cannot make the claim he did, not by a LONG shot.
