Idk.. Alec Baldwin's version of Trump is still second to none.
As far as the economy, the fact that Trump has managed to not screw up what Obama started is great. Hopefully it continues.

He did by cutting taxes. They just take a while to manifest themselves. Also tariffs. Same deal.

One is a boom and bust economy. Booms occurred when Obama had the Federal Reserve print new money to throw at banks. Busts occurred once the inflation settled in and when banks ran out of the new magically printed money to throw at people.

Trumps economy is very different. Notice his 'busts' have very level slopes. This allows his 'booms' to add up for an overall positive gain.

Did you even check the dates? It's not about RvD anymore. It's the people against politicians.

for the first time... ever.... i do not completely disagree with you. That said, politics is hard, I would suck at it. You dont want someone like Rudy Giuliani or Alan Cohen as your lawyer... that does not mean you dont want or need a lawyer. You need a good lawyer, an ethical lawyer. Ditto for politicians, and we are woefully short on both sides the isle.... too many should just go ahead and change their titles to their real jobs "Lobbyists"..... so cheers to that

So let me get this straight... because Trump hasn't destroyed the economy (yet; he's working on it with his trade policy), the economic growth that began under Obama and has slowed down under Trump is Trump's doing?

Take a look at the graphs in this thread. I think you've had too much of the msm's kool-aide. There's a reason Europe surrendered the trade war and gave into ALL of Trumps demands. Mexico and Canada are grasping at straws. They're next.

You seem to have trouble reading graphs. Unemployment marched steadily downward and the Dow Jones marched steadily upward under Obama. The tax cuts were neither big enough nor have they had time to have the impact the Obama economic program had, and the improvement happened almost entirely before Trump even took office.

I'm not the one who has been drinking the Kool-Aide, my sheeplike friend. There is a reason why Donald Trump is the first president since Gallup has been in business who at this point in his administration has never once been over fifty percent in his approval ratings.

Reality isn't much affected by your decision to live an an alternate one of your own imagining.

Oh. And the farm belt has been devastated by the trade war with China. Neither has anybody in Europe "surrendered;" the disputes are ongoing. Nobody wins a trade war.

For a moment and just a moment you could have been either B or H but then common sense sets in and I realised they don't pay tax.

I paid $65k last year in federal taxes. Not that I’m complaining. But there are people waaaaay wealthier than me that pay less.

These fools don’t get it. THEY ARE BEING BRAINWASHED TO PROTECT HEIR FUEDAL LORDS.

I hear what you say and agree, 2016 overpaid tax €85k in Europe, we don't have avoidance plans and pay all our duties. Sometimes I think I'm not with the program as all too often we encounter those who '"Think Different" just don't play to the same rules.

Look at our most prosperous years and tax levels. Conservatives always followed it with tax cuts and put us in the shitter. Happens over and over again. You’d think you people would learn. But your brainwashed to protect your wealthy overlords.

Don’t need to look. Increased Government revenue does not improve the economy. Businesses opening and expanding in the US is what generates jobs and, thus, more income for Americans. Increasing taxes on businesses means less hireing and moving operations to other countries that don’t over tax them. Increased taxes on individuals means less disposable income for products and services, thus, less employment opportunities and more dependence on government welfare. Take a course in Macro Economics if you don’t believe me.

Cut taxes and entered unfounded and unfunded wars.

Also their lack of appropriate oversight of mortgage backed securities.

Bush had a chance to stop the recession but his people were making too much money.

You’re under the delusion that Bush could just pass laws at will to correct the economy. Congress creates laws, not the president.

Wrong. Tax cuts had nothing to do with it. Low interest rates and the perception that housing prices would only go up got people investing in real estate that they couldn’t afford.

2 ups, 6y
Maybe, but taxing people to the point that they don’t have enough money to make bad investments isnt the solution.
