Incidentally, I’ve hated CNN a lot longer than you guys. Cable news rots your brain.

Since I don’t get CNN or FOX News, I don’t really care what they show.

But I do know that FOX was the one network that wasn’t afraid to ask tough questions about the Obama administration. Unlike NBC that threw softball questions in order to get exclusive interviews with him.

I upvoted because this is pleasant civil discourse.

You've pointed out a serious conflict in all of journalism, the desire for access to insiders vs. the duty to report inconvenient truths about them. It's kind of an age-old problem at this point.

Whatever points you might have given them for going after Obama, you surely have to dock for their sycophantic, worshipful coverage of Trump.

I used to get Fox News during the Obama administration. It was one of many networks I got info from. It was one that didn’t fall in line with the mainstream media that practically worshiped the guy and were too afraid of being labeled racist to question his policies.
The left still hates Fox for not falling in line with the mainstream presse’s agenda to try to make Trump look as bad as possible while marginalizing anything positive that comes from his administration. They do the same thing to all Republican presidents.

I’m not even a Trump fan, just someone who sees through our agenda-driven news media’s facade. It’s sad to see how the mainstream media has enamored leftists to the point that they publicly express their desire for ill will to our current president.

I don't know what the corporate-owned media's agenda could be, except to make money. Except for a few notable exceptions, it's a capitalist enterprise and I see little evidence that the companies have any deep-seated leftist motivation. You could argue that reporters themselves are liberals, but they are also ideological about the first amendment and their duty to the truth, even when it interferes with their preferred narrative. For example, the NY Times editorial page is ferociously anti-Trump, but I still get news alerts every time new positive economic data is published.

The president will probably get a lot less ill will when he stops constantly attacking people he disagrees with and attempts to be everyone's president instead of solely his base's. Of course, that's the exact second that his base will turn on him.

Makes you wonder who his base is. Conservatives don’t *love* the guy although they like the fact that he prevented Hillary from being president. It’s sad how polarized our country has become. Hope it doesn’t take another 9/11 to unite us again, although even that would just be temporary.

Since you don't watch them that limits your ability to accurately criticize them.

FOX is basically a Republican Party propaganda outlet. It didn't ask questions about Obama, it editorialized negatively. So much so I had to stop watching. The schtick got boring after a while, just like with CNN & MSNBC today.

My reply was a comment suggesting that, if Fox News licks the boots of President Trump, five other networks did the same for Obama.

Now I understand the jumble of which reply goes to which reply can get confusing here - afterall, yes, I erred in the same manner to you last night. But BOTH those where MonsterTrucker's replies to YOU, so you already were aware of that, as indicated to your reply to the 1st one.
I, however, stepped in blind and misunderstood the complete context.
