Roll Safe Think About It Meme | IF YOU WANT OPEN BORDERS... ...MAYBE YOU SHOULD TRY TO GET LEGISLATION PASSED TO MAKE IT LEGAL TO HAVE AN OPEN BORDER. | image tagged in memes, roll safe think about it | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Until the laws change, law enforcement will continue to enforce the laws on the books (it's kind of in their name), and the current laws say it's illegal to cross our border without going through proper channels. Besides, no one really wants open borders anyway. You can bet the very people screaming for open borders, would be the first ones to cry foul when the number of terrorist attacks skyrocketed. The folks are just so mad about Trump's election, that they are throwing a full on temper tantrum at anything he does.

I like this meme, but not because I'm Conservative. I like it because it's a political meme that has a point, rather than Liberal's usual meme "TRUMP SUX SO U SUC 2" or the Conservative's "ALL OF U ARE IDIOTS SO R REFUGEES" It actually has a point. Even though I still think capturing childen is wrong, I like this meme! (asloitwasfunnydontjudgeme). Thanks!

Republicans, using myths to justify their polices since 1956. Come on guys, seriously. If you want to be taken seriously in any political debate, using the equivalent of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales is pretty dumb, unless you are six and in school.

Protip: the top meme is a liberal meme, the event was referenced by them. He just pointed out that they are totally wrong, seeing as at the time period Israel and Egypt were part of the same empire.

Regardless, anyone (liberal or conservative) who claims Jesus and his family fled to Egypt to escape Herod's supposed massacre of infant boys has to show evidence that it actually happened.
reply

You know the whole point of a debate or discussion is to discuss the premise, you've done this more than once... is this what liberals do when they lose? They just attack the premise?

And as someone pointed out above, the claim was made by liberals. The premise is "even if the claim is true, but...."
reply

If what underlies the premise is incorrect, the premise itself is flawed.

This meme says that Egypt and Judaea were under the control of the Roman Empire. I don't know if Egypt actually was, but for the sake of the discussion I'll assume it was. The point you're making is that they were fleeing from one part of the Roman Empire to another, so they weren't actually refugees. Your point is correct yet irrelevant, because the supposed flight to Egypt isn't historically corroborated in the first place.

"...is this what liberals do when they lose?"

"Liberals" don't do anything. Liberals are not a monolithic, unified group. They are individual people. Some do that, others don't.

"Are you serious? This is historical, it's not even debateable. If you don't know it, then shouldn't you do some research? You don't need to "assume" Egypt was part of the Roman Empire, it is recorded historical fact."

Yes, I'm quite serious when I say that I don't know something. This is the first I've heard that Egypt was part of the Roman Empire. You'll notice that I didn't say it wasn't. I said I don't know if it was, because I genuinely didn't know. If you're criticizing me for admitting I didn't know something that I didn't know, then I'm not sure what to tell you.

"You're an idiot. One of the biggest I've seen."

Your opinion is duly noted :) and I'm not sure why you think mods would delete anything or penalize you.

"You are so thin skinned and low EQ..."

Yes, I can be thin-skinned at times. I'm not sure how I was being thin-skinned in this conversation, though. Also, what does my Emotional Quotient have to do with what we were discussing?

"Let me tell you how foolish you are. You are so blatantly racist in your attitude from your posts, it is transparent to anyone you have a hatred towards whites and/or Europeans. It is not surprising you always troll my posts b/c you probably surmise from my account name I'm a white American of Scottish decent. I'm a mix Asian, b**ch, of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean decent."

Some white people have done horrible things throughout human history, but that applies to every ethnicity as well. I hate bad people based on their actions, not their skin color.

Also, I don't troll your posts. I saw these two on recent pages and commented on them. If you honestly think that your username has anything to do with my comments, you are literally delusional. And I truly mean that. Your username means jack squat to me. I comment based on what people say or meme, not what their username is or what I think their ethnicity is. Come back to reality. By the way, name calling doesn't help your argument.

"Seriously, stop embarrassing yourself."

More ironic words were never spoken.

Jesus, if he existed, wasn't European. Current images of him being used descend from medieval Europe painting him as a white guy with a beard. I don't know Octavia but she/he posts with reason, something severley lacking on the conservative/liberal sides these days. Politics is not religion, it is not a faith. You have to consider the evidence/facts and make your decision based on that. If not, then that makes you a religious cult follower.

He was still a cuckold, which is by definition raising the son of another man, that your wife conceived and gave birth to /after/ you were married.

What's your point? What does race have anything to do with this conversation? Oh wait I forgot, those on the left can't go more than five minutes without bringing up race. Maybe you guys should work on the idea that the only race is the human race. You seem to have forgotten.

There are some black people in Ethiopia who are said to be descended from ancient Israelites. I think genetic testing has confirmed it, but I could be wrong.

No one truly knows what skin tone Jesus had, but I would guarantee that it wasn't black. However, the Bible never says what he looked like, which means it isn't important.
reply

True, I never said Jesus was black (although I know some people believe that). He most likely would have been olive- to maybe somewhat dark-skinned, since he was Semitic. For all I know he could have been on the lighter side. One very early depiction shows him as a fair-skinned blond(ish) guy, I believe.
reply
1 up, 1 reply
Yeah, I don't believe he was blonde. lol! I also don't believe he had long hair as depicted in most portraits. There's some place in the Bible (not sure where exactly) that talks about men not having long hair. But idk if it means it's a sin to have long hair.
reply

I just checked Google. The earliest known depictions of Jesus date to about 235, so clearly long after he died. They show him as a young man with short hair.

I think the verse you're referring to says something about it being a shame for men to have long hair, but not necessarily a sin

Yes, and I think it's in the New Testament, which is during and after Christ's crucifixion. Christ's laws changed dramatically. Well, we'll never really know until the afterlife. ;)

Mideasterners are definitely not white like Europeans. Most of these religious arts are done in Europe and has been Eurocentricized. However, Mideasterners are also not black as we know Arabs are not black. They' tanned, dark, brown, but not like Africans. Furthermore, the bible has references to Hebrews being more light skinned compared to other Mesopotamian cultures of the area.

The only one questionable is Egyptians, were they black? Historical references claim Egyptians were dark skinned, but were they black or more like Arab. This is a debateable topic. However, I tend to believe they were both.

Many people do not know ancient Egypt is actually not the same as current modern nation of Egypt. Ancient Egypt use to comprise of areas covering modern Egypt and Sudan. In fact, Sudan use to be called the "Southern Egypt." So Egyptians were in fact comprised of multiple people groups including mideasterners and Sudanese.

Not dark - olive toned, like any other Mediterranean, or rather, European, as per the premise of your meme.

For you to throw such a hissy fit about knowing historical knowledge yet go on to spout misinformation about that which you already supposedly know is hilariously hypocritical. Europa stretched from present day Southern Europe to the Near East, Middle East, and Northern Africa, surrounding the Mediterranean Sea - the water between the land. The barbaric hinterlands entered the map much later.

"Brown" Midle Easterners today come from an admixture of African brought in as slaves. While present back then, the numbers were so few that they were easily identifiable as they stuck out, as pointed out in the Bible.

"the bible has references to Hebrews being more light skinned compared to other Mesopotamian cultures of the area."

No, it doesn't. You yorself contradict this by stating Mary & Joseph passed as Egyptian.

"The only one questionable is Egyptians, were they black? Historical references claim Egyptians were dark skinned, but were they black or more like Arab. This is a debateable topic. However, I tend to believe they were both."

Um, they only painted murals of themselves, you confounded twit. They looked like their descendents today because that's who they are. The Nubian conquest and Dynasty brought in Sub Saharan African types, as well as did slaves. This was also presented in the murals. Since nobility, particularly women, didn't toil in the sun or venture outdoors much, they were usually pale, again, as seen on their murals.

Sudan? Ever hear of Nubia? Kush?

Next time you're going to have a major cradiac arrest, look up your facts. Bible school is cute, but hardly scholarly, given the agenda and the Northwestern Eurocentric Jayzuz revisionists that use it as a means of brainwashing uneducated dolts with high Ignorance Quotients.

Moron.

Forgot to add, so though there were dark black Sudanese/Egyptians, but notice that more than 1 occasion, Joseph and Moses, who were able to pass off as Egyptians as well when they were darken tanned and wearing Egyptian clothes. So again, some Egyptians were mideasterners, while others were black.
