You would be surprised. Every soldier took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States. In the event of a tyrannical government...much like what the last administration was becoming...some service members would remember that oath. I took remember taking it and that oath did not end with my military service.

That's wonderful.....and I appreciate it. But that won't stop the government from winning. They have missiles. And jets. Among other things like Tanks and other heavy artillery.

Semi (or heck....even fully) automatic guns won't make a bit of difference in the fight.

Defenseless and outgunned are not the same. We were outgunned against the British. The Viet Cong certainly didn't have the firepower of the American military, though they had help from others. The military is also trained, whereas civilians are not.

there is estimated 100million gun owners in America......lets say it is half that versus the 500,000 combat effective units in the military........sure the government has tanks, and gunships, and jets, and drones. But those are unbelievably expensive, they cant mass produce them like they did in WWII.....and they are expensive to use, to upkeep, to get ammo for ect ect. also, most of it is over seas anyway.

so all that taken into account, 500,000 vs 50,000,000 is hands down in the favor of the gun owners....

now would a lot of people die? absolutely! millions of people would die but that isn't the point.

Also we couldn't stop the Taliban with all our High Tech weaponry...
