O'Reilly at least says his show is opinion based, not like the left who have most of the mainstream news networks (minus Fox) doing their dirty work for them.

Prior to this past year. I would have disputed you. I was trained that as a journalist, you held a sacred trust. More than one journalist has Been fired in my lifetime for fabricating stories. Today, it's a slap on the wrist and your put in time out for six months.

I have to agree, though with RyanMeyer1 on his posted meme: left or right, report facts first, then get into opinion. Interspersing opinion with facts is nothing more than fake news.
3 ups, 7y
The problem is we have radical ideologues who base the facts off their opinions, not their opinions off the facts. It's okay for you to support conservatism or liberalism, and it's even better if you can come up with actual sources to support your beliefs (often when people are provided with sources, it's either called alt-right propaganda, or you get called a libtarded cuck).

I have the app on my phone and you would think that they would b unbiased about American news, but even in their headlines they throw in some negative words about stories that are about the right wing.

Yeah, I've noticed that before. We are bloody capitalist pigs though so you gotta expect a little frowning from our Socialist neighbors across the pound.

It continually amazes me that my more conservative friends call NPR "garbage librul propaganda". It's like they don't realize that the network gets a good amount of funding from the Koch brothers or that roughly 2/3 of the experts and opinionators on Morning Edition & All Things Considered are from respected right-wing institutions like Heritage Foundation and Cato Institute, and respected/respectable members of the Republican Party like John McCain.

Ha! That's easy to debunk. They don't destroy because of atheism, they destroy because of mob mentality and love of destruction (and I bet most of them are probably agnostic or semi-religious simply because the majority of the human population is semi religious/christian/agnostic).
2 ups, 7y,

I don't think so, kid.
3 ups, 7y
Just judging by the fact that religious people are the majority of the population, the right does not have a monopoly on Christianity (look up The Christian Left), and Christianity isn't the only religion in America (I believe there is a certain "death cult" that liberals are kinda protective of). Given all these factors, I'd say at least some of the protesters are religious.

And I definitely wouldn't call it radical atheist terrorism.

funny that Infowars is put on the right, they're libertarian
3 ups, 7y,

Infowars is not far from being Russian propaganda and Vladmir Putin, though a former Soviet who wants to return to a version of the old days, is generally much more conservative/authoritarian than liberal. Also, a random sampling of Infowars stories shows a clear bias against left-wing, center-left, and center-right politicians.

I wonder though that National Review isn't on the graphic; though generally right-wing and not far off the Republican Party platform they have at times made true conservative cases that oppose the Party, for example against the death penalty.

I try to explain all the time that in simplest terms in the political spectrum (or horseshoe) to the left is the most government control (and size) and taxes and to the right is the least government control (an size) and lowest taxes. Libertarians fall to the far right wanted the least government and taxes. To the further right would be no government and no taxes....Or anarchists who want neither. They believe we can govern, control and provide for ourselves without the need for government at all.

Most Conservatives don't like that truth. Many of my MOST conservative friends find themselves in a quandary of supporting tough and many laws that require lawmakers and enforcers, courts and jails....All tax based. Until they are making money off of marijuana stocks (because liberals push for legalization) they will want tough laws against it.

Funny though because libertarians are the "Conservatives" that believe the most in personal "liberty". Like legalization of drugs and prostitution. The "tea party" folks call themselves the true Conservatives yet most of them seem to be in tax based entitlement programs like SSD, SSI, Medicare etc...That they certainly have used up more than they paid into.they just add in religion where Libertarians want a clear seperation if church and state. Most Libertarians I know seem to be atheists.
3 ups, 7y
Yeah, I come from a very religious family and they're a prime example of why there should be a clear separation of church and state. Their faith is constantly defeating logic.

By inserting herself and in a sense becoming a part of the story, she then could proceed to tweek that story.
From that, editorializing enters, and eventually, as we see now, news has becoming a sensationalistic op-ed reality show in search of fanboy ratings.

After all, telling people what they want to hear is much more prettier than hearing cold hard boring facts,,,

They do that a lot with Autism (a condition where a child has trouble socializing and regulating sensory input) as well. If a child with AS was misbehaving and causing issues, and was kicked out of a public place, news reporters will often rush to the parents aid and say how the public place "discriminated" him/her because of his/her autism. They never tell the full incident, and It's causing a lot of headaches, making people assume we are dangerous because of it, along with Autism activists being a victim saying that everyone is ignorant and hateful. I can tell you that if you behave and have good manners, people will accept you, regardless of your disability. If the media cuts back on playing victim and/or giving someone 5 seconds of fame because of their disability to make them more special than anyone else, it's likely they can blend into society and be treated normally.
3 ups, 7y,

For sure....the media is always in search of a victim and if they can't find one, they just create one. I have family with Autistic kids but who doesn't these days...

Autism is sometimes falsely diagnosed. Some children may be shy or have issues with staying still, but psychologists diagnose kids with ASD without a brain scan, and they are falsely believed that that they will never have a successful life.

But about the Media: Last year, they reported that a 15 year old girl with Autism on a United Airlines Flight to Portland who was kicked off because of demanding a hot meal, causing activists to protest a boycott against United Airlines. The reality is that it wasn't the girls fault, but it was her mom's fault for saying she will scratch someone to a flight attendant if she didn't get a hot meal.
2 ups, 7y
Yeah, it all comes down to the parents. I know several that are making progress and have a chance of a fairly normal life because of good parenting.
2 ups, 7y,

and yeah, every problem child now days gets the Autism stamp. Parents are feeding their kids garbage and wondering why they act like garbage.

3 ups, 7y,

People with Autism have severe digestive issues that causes toxins to release in the brain. Also, Public Schools (even the well funded ones that I went to) fail Autistic kids on a daily basis. IEP meetings, which is supposed to help them with integrating with the normal kids, often limits free speech from parents requesting high quality accommodations and cuts corners to save money.
3 ups, 7y,

The health professionals that I listen to all say, fix the gut and you fix the brain. It's a long hard road for Autistic kids.

The amount of toxins found in our food is outstanding. Although I do agree with the health professionals, because diet is usually a lot better than drugs.

I was on the GAPS diet (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) for nearly 2 weeks to treat my behavior problems, it was very helpful. It's a diet with no processed food and no potatoes, and drink lots of bone broth. I couldn't stick to it, because it was extremely difficult and tedious. I spent most of my days thinking about cookies.

I don't really miss junk food anymore but I remember when I did miss it. Most of it tastes like garbage to me now and if I do try to eat something I used to like....I have stomach issues. I'm a paraplegic with fybromyalgia and after trying to get help from Doctors for the fybromyalgia with no effect, I turned to the natural approach and have had some success. I do remember the struggle though, I used to be a big eater...
