For some reason that made me think back to feeding time when we had a python.

I had a 13 foot Burmese Python, had to feed him large rabbits every week to 10 days. He was as big around as your thigh, lol ;)

Holy shit man, mine was about 5-5 !/2 ft in length. He liked large rats, but only live ones. 13 feet is a big enough to take care of the neighborhood feral cat problem.

Lol. He was a big f@cking snake, i can tell you that! I built a snake cage that was the size of a phone booth but layed on it's side. I had a old front door off a house that was all glass top to bottom (4in border top,bottom and sides,) the door layed long ways, hinges on bottom and open out). Now, that's a snake cage! Lol

He was no trouble really, had a good attitude, he'd let you pick him up and play with him. He bit me once, but that was my fault, I approached him incorrectly while feeding him. I never fed him in hos big cage, i used another one, so when i moved him to the feeding cage, he knew it was time to eat, which is why you could take him out of his big cage and play with him. That's the best way to take care of them. As long as he was in his big cage he wasn't the least bit aggressive.

I learned that with mine, I used to use a large box for feeding, my daughter who was 5 or 6 at the time used to hold him often and learned how to behave around him. She's 17 now and always talks about that snake. He got me 1 time too, when I was putting a frozen rat in with him and missed. I that was the one and only time I tried the frozen. (He wouldn't strike at it unless it was moving.)

Lol. I love cats and the ex at the time didn't, I brought it home anyway! Hmmm...maybe that's why she's my ex? Lol
