I have no idea. I'm scrolling thru all my favorite people and upvoting/commenting since I've been away for awhile. You're right. It's not there now. I thought it was odd because it said 3 weeks and I've only been gone 2
No. I was making an effort to show that my purpose is not just to get upvotes, so there was nothing until I submitted it this morning. The only reason I submitted it today is that all the older ones than this one that have been waiting to be submitted have finally been submitted. I seem to stay about 3 weeks behind on my submissions, even though I'm doing 3 a day... So many more waiting...
Yea. I'm having a problem picking a decade, i really like music from 60's to the present! For instance, 60's is great, but i lov Zepplin and that was mostly 1970's! And i grew up (mostly) in the 80's! The 90's really had cool music, also! Now i listen to alot od EDM/Techno (I don't know why all the sudden i like it?). This is tough!
Absolutely the 90's. No question about it: Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Rage Against the Machine, Weezer, Nine Inch Nails, Guns N' Roses, Tool, etc.
I included this one to be fair. The earliest rock n' roll song that I could find (though this is disputed) was “That’s All Right, Mama” by Arthur “Big Boy” Crudup, released in 1946. Eight years later, a 19-year old Elvis Presley did a cover record of it for his first single. Soon, Crudup was being called “the Father of Rock ‘n’ Roll.”
I tried to find images (through Google) that represented the decades in question, and this was the only one that actually named the decade in question as well as pertained to music.
It is my hope that the fact that I did go to so much effort shows that I'm not doing this just for upvotes (though I'd be lying if I said I wasn't doing it for upvotes at all).
Hard to pinpoint where some of them really belong as well! I m a Def Leppard fan so I am going with this decade even though they were performing before it and after it as well LOL My favorite was the Hysteria era (1984–1989) I am also a huge G N' R fan and many, many, many others! Great meme!!
