Authorities say 6 to 8 people assaulted man with lead pipes

When i was in jail a few months ago my cellmate was serving 30 days for a probation violation for a new charge he got. The charge was simple assault, he hit his best friend with a lead pipe while they were drunk, no shit!!!

In England (a gun-free zone) violent crimes are committed every day with random objects like lead pipes, baseball bats, knives and boards.

Have to call bullcrap on this one. Do you know how hard it would be to even find a lead pipe? They have not been used in years due to health concerns. Also, lead is a pliable metal. if you were to hit someone with a lead pipe it most likely wrap itself around the intended victim. The media obviously knows as much about plumbing as it does about firearms.

Murder is a human problem, trying to re label types of guns will make no difference to the criminals. I live in NY the toughest gun laws in America. I can't own a. 22 long rifle With a pistol grip, but I can buy a bolt action high power rifle. Trying to make the weapons sound scary does nothing to it's functions. President Lincoln was shot in the head with a Musket, Kennedy with a bolt action rifle. If you're so keen on labels All my rifles are "target rifles" therefore they are not created to kill people.
