That’s arrogant, ignorant, & delusional. If we could control it evil people would be doing it now to control the world for their benefit.

*enter financial gain and selfishness*

Also did we not just establish that it would be “a waste of taxpayer money”

Way back in the day, vBackman, my Dad would always say "there's big money in global warming". I'm talking back in the late 90's,when it first came into vogue (at least as my fuzzy memory recalls it.) He meant there was a ton of money to be made by convincing the govt that it was a real threat, and then of course corrupt govt would take the ball (errr, money) and run with it. I was a young rascal and (gasp!) somewhat liberal back then, and my thoughts were that there was bigger money in denying global warming, meaning large corporations (e.g. power companies, auto manufacturers, etc.) had more at stake by denying it.

Well, fast forward to current times, and it turns out my Dad was quite prescient, as it has turned out that one of the things demotard govt is doing is using climate change as a huge money grab in their never-ending attempts at redistributing income. Once again proving that that old fart usually knew what he was talking about.

Underestimate your parents at your own peril, LOL! Your dad did get it and glad you have morphed into a strong conservative as well, Elvis. Hard to believe you were even somewhat liberal when you were young but that can often be the pattern. Glad you outgrew it. Climate change is perfect for the Dems....gullible and so dumb to think that we can change IT.

Thanks for sharing, as always...

You crack me up vBackman! 🤣 If underestimating the old man was risky, imagine what a tight rope I'd be walking if I were to underestimate my Mom! You know, I don't feel like my views have changed all that much since I was younger and (here it comes again...) more liberal. I feel like liberals and the democrat party have moved so far to the left, basically becoming authoritarian with their group think, suppression of freedom of speech, cancel culture, etc., that I don't even recognize them any more. I'm sure I've changed, but I really think not that much. I may not vote republican, but I sure as hell won't ever vote democrat again.

You make a very good point as the libs embraced freedom of speech and not censorship as they do now. Colleges used to invite different people to speak and now they have to go to counseling after a conservative speaks. As your children deal with the insanity of the left and your wife complains of men in ladies' restrooms, you will grow to become more conservative. Mark my words. :)

To be honest, I see you as a very thoughtful conservative having read your numerous comments and historical references, so you are most definitely on track. Please vote Republican...it is our last bastion of hope, Elvis. Ok to be liberal when young (as you don't know any better) but not ok after a certain age as has been said, LOL. And I might add that in today's world, it is not OK at ANY age to be a liberal. :)

Here on imgflip, the libtards always call me a conservative or a republican, but I've never considered myself to be either. TBH though, I clearly have way more in common with conservatives, philosophically, than I do liberals. So I've been thinking these last couple of days about whether I'm actually a conservative or not. I'm still going with not, although your ability for keen insight (which clearly drives your incredible meme-making, btw...) has got me wondering... Aside from some philosophical differences, I just don't like being part of any organized political group, whether it's an official group like a political party, or a conceptual / semi-organized group like conservatives or liberals. If I ever hop off the fence and come down on the 'right' side, I'll make sure to let you know pronto! (but don't worry, I haven't even had a thought of voting demotard cross my mind since 2015...)

And as far as the little lady goes, she is one of the most practical, hardest working, strongest, and surest of her opinions type of person that I've ever known. She makes me look like a sniveling imgflip libtard... You two would probably be good friends!

You are not as liberal as you think, Elvis, thank goodness!

1. You aren't gender confused.
2. You aren't whiny.
3. You don't want the gov't to raise/influence your children.
4. You would not allow your kids to attend drag shows.
5. You think most Democrats would benefit from a lobotomy.
6. You are a Capitalist and believe in hard work.
7. You think the military has been pussified.
8. You believe in equality and not equity.
9. You respect the institution of marriage.
10. You are a smart man (I love to use that word as libs hate to hear it) and are very kind.

Enough proof? You are not a middle of the roader....remember, that usually results in 'roadkill'....by anything I have seen of you. If I read you wrong, please correct me as you know yourself better than I do. Yes, I am sure your wife and I would get along well.

Well, let's see now... 😁

Points 1 thru 3 are spot on.

Point 4 would be correct, if my kids weren't of age. But as such I no longer have the the desire to even attempt to allow or disallow them to do anything. I taught them how to think, not what to think. Hopefully that had something to do with their career and life successes, because they are all productive, contributing, (and sadly, that includes tax contributions) members of society. No welfare bums in this family!

Point 5 just cracks me up! You have a great sense of humor! During a moment of full disclosure, I may agree. Practically speaking though, this won't fly. 🤣🤣🤣

Points 6 thru 9 are spot on.

Point 10 is a matter of judgment (the 'smart' part...and the 'very kind' part... thank you) and since I do not find myself disagreeing with you very often, I will defer to your judgment on those. The 'man' part is as undeniable as it is annoying to liberals, since I am the proud owner of a Y chromosome, and all the physical features that go along with it. And I do not care who that offends.

Okay, enough proof! I am in a lane, even though I refuse to be defined by any label that lane may have. 👍

They're predicting an El Niño this year, which will purportedly make this summer brutally hot. Wonder how many doomsayers will claim it's actually a sign of the climate change end of days?

The stuff posted about climate change is just a way of distracting the sheep that followed the government to the slaughterhouse. In my opinion this world is becoming more and more like 1984 if you look closely enough.

Your reply is a fantastic example of the tolerant, open tent, non-discriminatory, we love everyone, kumbaya, liberal attitude that everyone has come to know and love!

Seriously Toejoe, judging a book by its cover? (or maybe in this case, an audio book by how it sounds?)

Didn't your parents teach you better than that?

Thanks vBackman! Sometimes I think I'm on fire... 🤣

TJ is a decent guy, but has some issues processing information due to chronic TDS and a liberal cloud hanging over him all day.

And I see now that his reply has been deleted. I doubt the mods did that for him, so I have to wonder why he did that?

Chronic TDS is debilitating for sure but it is a voluntary response and not mandatory. Libs make it their job to sign up for the Hate Trump Train so I don't give them any slack for being so stupid. Oh, and he deleted his comment cuz you whooped him, Elvis.

You're probably right... Although, I think my former lib-weenie side still comes out occasionally when I think that it's not 100% their fault, because they're being brainwashed by the media. Yes, it's 100% their fault that they let themselves be brainwashed by the media. So, I guess I should just cut out the middle component of my thinking and put the blame squarely where it belongs.

Oh, yes, just keep referring to your FORMER lib-weenie side as just that....in the past, LOL! It is a voluntary choice to be dumb and sign on to the liberal media idiots. Only the mentally challenged could accept their gender confusion, corrupt policies and agencies, and general ideocracy today. And that is the truth....
1 up, 2y
Okay, vBackman! My former lib-weenie side can not argue with those points in any way whatsoever! 👍👍
