[The Bible was] written in different places: Moses in the wilderness, Jeremiah in a dungeon, Daniel on a hillside and in a palace, Paul inside prison walls, Luke while traveling, John on the island of Patmos, [and] others in the rigors of military campaigns. [The Bible was] written at different times: David in times of war [and] Solomon in times of peace. [The Bible was] written during different moods [with] some writings from the heights of joy and others from the depths of sorrow and despair. [The Bible was] written on three continents: Asia, Africa, and Europe, [as well as] in three languages; Hebrew, [some portion in] Aramaic, and the New Testament language, [Koine] Greek." Also, these people mostly didn't know each other, especially since they were from different generations. They could not cross-reference their writings.
