Fascism is Ultra-right | Fascism is left-wing. Mussolini was a socialist and a syndicalist and used this as the basis for fascism. Mussolini was expelled from the PSI for his support for WWI. He rejected socialism, especially Marxism, and endorsed nationalism and created fascism. Italian fascism favored private property. While he believed in worker's syndicates, he also favored corporatism and thought class collaboration was a proper route, rather than the socialist doctrine of abolition of class, or a dictatorship of the proletariat.
