![WHAT ARE THE ORIGINS OF THE “WORD OF FAITH” MOVEMENT? [2 of 3]; One founder was William Seymour who created the Azusa Street Mission in 1906. Those present at the time described absolute chaos with all in attendance wanting to preach, and most everyone did. Nobody stopped to ask for a testimony to even see if the speakers were saved. Even some local witches and sorcerers preached. Seymour realized who they were and stopped them from preaching but they continued to attend and practice their weird worship during the service. Also weird for a Church service, were reports of kissing between unmarried persons.
