Oklahoma | The Oklahoma State Department of Education has purchased more than 500 Bibles to place in Advanced Placement government classrooms, at a cost of $25,000. There are also bids to buy more Bibles, as well as copies of the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution. I will take every step possible to ensure Oklahoma students have the resources I believe they need to fully understand one of many religions out of American history. By acting now, I am forcing all Oklahomans on a path toward greater focus on unproven biblical academics by providing alternative facts about only the christian historical, cultural, and literary context for our students whether you like it or not. State Superintendent Ryan Walters said the Bibles are intended to serve as a 2,000 year old academic and literary resource.
