And the devil does so out of pure evil, wanting as many duped people as possible to join him in the Lake of Fire. Satan knows he has lost. Jesus beat him on the cross. Lucifer is really “Loser-fer.” But as mentioned earlier in this book, Satan has teamed up with humans—who seek power and money—to deceive people all the way into an eternity in hell. And because Christ already DID THE WORK for us, we are able to go straight to Jesus, thus avoiding any of man’s prescribed rituals. And it costs us nothing
except to humble ourselves, admitting we need a savior. In Hebrews, John the apostle of Christ tells us that Christians have the freedom to go directly to God, and we can do so with boldness, always finding grace and help from Him in our time of need. Isn’t that mind-blowing? Just as John seemed to have his mind blown by that realization, even today it feels like John’s words are coming off the pages.
