Though Kabballah is chalked full of wacky ideas like those, many deceived people have jumped on board because of promotion from world-famous celebrities like Madonna and Britney Spears. If fact, Madonna is more known in Israel for her devotion to Kabbalah than she is for her music. Her zeal for Kabbalah was demonstrated when she
turned down a prestigious voting position on the Cannes Film Festival jury; because it would have meant missing two Kabbalah meetings. Madonna paid almost $3 million for a London mansion that she has turned into a Kabbalah facility. Through her, Britney Spears got involved with Kabbalah, and now claims it has turned her life around by clearing up negative energy. That belief is similar to what is pushed by L. Ron Hubbard’s false religion of Scientology, which promises to rid followers of negative energy; that is, if he or she gives the organization tens and hundreds of thousands of dollars.
But it’s all just more repackaging of lies from Satan, leading uninformed
people down false paths that steer them away from God’s truth in the Bible.
This most often causes them to die without ever making a decision
to rely on Jesus, and that rejection of a free relationship and pardon for

And those beliefs closely resemble some of the Grecian-originated ideas that surround "gnosis," which means "knowledge" in Greek. Practitioners of gnosis (Gnostics) claim to have special knowledge of spiritual mysteries. When you place an "a" in front of “gnostic,” you get "agnostic," which means a person with "no” knowledge. In practice, agnostics profess that they don’t have enough knowledge to determine whether God does or does not exist (atheists claim to believe there is no God). Near the time of its manmade origins, Gnosticism involved people and ideas that even the
New Testament’s Apostle Paul had to deal with. Two thousand years later,
Kabbalah is a kind of a warmed-over version of Gnosticism, and it has the
same feel as Westernized Hinduism, which is the root of the relatively
recent religion called New Age—which also grew out of Kabbalah. Again, Satan only recycles old lies, like the false beliefs of Gnosticism, just repackaging whatever has been previously successful at fooling a lot of people. Of course, this is why we must learn history, especially the biblical record. Normally, an initial version of Satan’s lie can dupe many generations, but only until biblically sound people counter it with God’s truth. That’s no problem for Lucifer; he just waits a while and then repackages the same core deception, like how he turned the discredited religion of Gnosticism into Kabbalah, and then waited a few more generations to relabel the same occult practices as New Age. In fact, you can trace the sewage pipe of occultism all the way back to the Tower of Babel, where God judged their satanic
practices by confusing the language, which caused common-language groups to
spread out around the world, landing in places like the Indus River Valley. There
in what is now India, those Babylonian occult practices became Hinduism.
Again, elsewhere it developed into Gnosticism that became modern-day

Jews. Kabbalah means "to receive," meaning the followers claim
to receive ongoing, higher, better, and newer revelations from God—; —just as today’s Charismatic community claims. Earlier in Judaism, Kabbalah was mainstream, but then later came to be the practice of only a few “special” Jews who God exclusively blesses with some supposed “true meanings” of Scripture—they get so-called secret knowledge. Because God singled them out to receive His “real truth,” how dare we question them? And doesn’t that sound similar to the attitude of Roman Catholicism, where followers are taught to refrain from interpreting the Bible for themselves—that’s reserved for the learned Catholic priests. Only they possess the unique “specially given ability” to understand and interpret Scripture. The

So, Judaism is a system that focuses on following the traditions imposed by men, and not on the Word of God given to us in the Old and New Testaments. An Orthodox Jew generally adheres to the thirteen articles of faith and 613 mitzvahs (commandments). To be considered an Orthodox Jew, there are core practices that must be performed and acts to refrain from. The latter involve prohibitions against murder, idolatry, certain
sexual practices, and many, many, many, many, many other things. Those in this Orthodox system are also plagued by a similar mentality to Christians who think they are a bound for heaven because they “mostly” obey the Ten Commandments, or because they are at least better than another person of their choosing, maybe “granting themselves” eternity in heaven just because they haven't killed anyone. This is the same misconception as an Orthodox Jew who believes they can work their own way to heaven. Orthodox Jews face a mountain of needed works, just a few of which are refraining from activities that violate the Jewish Sabbath and holidays, performing the required circumcision of males,
and keeping dietary and family-purity laws, like only marrying
