Yeah, it is sad. I could say that the situation we had made me aware of the consequences of nationalism, that's why I am really keen on showing the fascist and destructive side of nationalism, or what would you guys in the US came patriotism. I am politically active in my country and am vocal about my views... People don't really like to hear the ugly truth but I think it needs to be said. :) For else, in a way, I could witness the second hand consequences of war, because I don't remember it, I was born when it started. Bosnia and Herzegovina is a reality for me, I don't know how would I feel if I was born somewhere else. But as a foreigner if you ever visit it, you're probably gonna have a good time. Sarajevo's definitely a city anyone touring balkans should visit and Bosnians are, as foreigner usually say, quite friendly and welcoming. We're southerners, I guess it fits in the mentality. Life in general actually isn't that bad, if the economic situation would get a bit better, people could be satisfied. These way they aren't cause we have low vages and high unemployment, of the youth epsecially. Most of us just wanna leave and go to work somewhere else. I also consider that as a possible option for myself. :) Even though my motives are also different to an extent, because I am interested in bigger cities and having more ethnically diverse people around me. :)
