If you ask me I think the Turkish and Egyptian authorities were protecting those gay people by denying them entry into those countries where people don't take kindly to gays and are likely to inflict homophobic violence on them. The cruise wasn't "pro-Palestine" it was just LGBTQ+ themed but yes many on the left are unfortunately to oblivious to realize that Islamic countries do oppress LGBTQ+ people. Many on thr left call themselves "queers for Palestine" because they oppose Israel but they don't realize that Palestinians are Islamic fundamentalists who are extremely homophobic and when you point this out, they accuse you of "supporting Israel's genocide of Palestinians".
