Look up the Aztecs and maybe even the Incas. Also the Tribes involved in French/Indian War. Quite a few Tribes in the Western Hemisphere got along as well as the European Kingdoms which is to say not that much. The conflicts between Tribes involved war and. . .*GASP!* land grabs and displacing/attempted genocide of the other Tribe *GASP!*

Columbus was fortunate to end up where he did. If he landed further north or south. . .especially south. . .history would've panned out way differently in a bad way for his journey.
