The only "safe place" is in a personal domicile protected by trained shooters and/or trained dogs. The rest of this world is a dangerous place.

That doesn't mean you can be an asshole to people because "the world isn't a safe place". No shit but don't be part of the problem

We live in a broken world. Filled with hate, greed, jealousy, etc. At no point in my comment did I call for the mistreatment of others. I also don't behave in an uncivil manner, privately or publicly. I treat others as politely or more than I am treated in my interactions with others. The vitriol I was just subjected to tells the world more about the one spewing said vitriol than about me.

Sorry man, I'm used to people thinking that just because the world sucks, means they can suck too. I've seen it a lot on this site so I was making assumptions that I shouldn't have

Oh, I assure you, that assessment wasn't exactly quite off the mark.

Guy speaks maliciously of me behind my back, and I don't even know who he is. I'm sure we probably had an encounter in the past, but I don't go around badmouthing others on some niche stream - a Christian stream, no less - where no one else can see it just because we didn't click once.

What I've said about you is that I want you to be the best version of yourself. A version that embraces the truth of Christianity. I've not seen that from you here. As Saul of Tarsus went from not following Jesus, being separate from Jesus, you too could experience the peace and calm of a relationship with Him. I've said that I will continue to pray for you even when the person I was talking to told me how much they hated you, how much you had hurt them. I told them that they needed to forgive you, to forgive all that had hurt them. That person has broken wings, as do you, as do I, as do we all. The brokenness cannot be healed by "parties". It cannot be healed by hate. Drugs cant cure it. Sex can't cure it. Not money, or power, or fame. Having "personal truths" absolutely cannot heal any of us. THE TRUTH, Jesus Christ, the Devine Son of God, IS the only cure. That is the "maliciousness" directed at you and all that haven't yet experienced Jesus yet. Each of us could die at any moment. The moment of our death is the very instant that our fate is sealed for eternity. With Jesus for all time or separated from Him for all eternity? Jesus Christ spoke often of that separation. "Lake of Fire" was one description. People in torment. I've been saved from that destination, one that I fully deserve, because I've sinned, as we all have; by Jesus life, death, and resurrection. I would rather everyone experience what I have than "eternal torment".

^ tl;dr

I saw what you said, wasn't it I who said you said it?

Hell is a small price to pay for eternity.

Worst part of it is, of course, seeing all the hypercrite shitters who thought they were going to Heaven because they were so busy violating the judge not clause that they simply couldn't go to Hell because they covered up their tracks so thoroughly with their bullshit.

The question is, do you really think you can fool God?
1 up, 1d,
1 reply
Absolutely not! No one can. I see that like many, you suffer under a gross misunderstanding on the "judge not lest ye be judged" scripture. Specifically as that same passage goes on to explain how we are to judge. It is a common error as many have proffered it as an immutable rule rather than the blueprint by which we may discern truth. Where specifically does explaining we all have sinned (broken any of God's boundaries) from the Greek term for an archer missing the mark count as "judging" incorrectly?
2 ups, 1d,

What part of, "Judge not lest so you be judged" do you not understand?

The road to Hell is paved in hypocrisy. That's what sin is, hypocrisy. You know better, but you do it anyways. Hypocrisy.
1 up, 1d,

1. Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

I understand it quite well. It is not a blanket prohibition against "judging" but an actual blueprint on how to "judge" or discern correctly. The Bible also tells us that all of us have sinned and that "wages of sin (singular) is eternal separation from God. I have mentioned here and told others many times that I'm not worthy of God's grace or mercy and yet He gives it to me. None of us can be perfect. I have sinned before and will again. Penn Jillette, of "Penn and Teller" fame, also a famous atheist, made a video after he had been given a Bible by a gentleman that said he was concerned for Penn's soul. The man left him his phone number and a note in the Bible asking Penn to call if he had questions. It bothered Penn so much that, unable to sleep, he made said video about it. In it, he opined that if Christians knew of this wondrous gift was available to all, why didn't they share it? You seem to believe that because I've sinned that I have no right to share it. As I understand AA meetings, members have other members as mentors, help in time of stress and temptations. I am a sinner trying to help other sinners. You are free to take the help or reject it. I can force you to do neither.
Anyway, I hope this clears up your misunderstanding on "judging"
2 ups, 1d
So what I said then?

Well look at it this way - when you die, at least you know where you're going to go. And even if there's no such thing, you can't escape the gravity of the notion of what if, maybe, just maybe, you were right.

The road to Hell is not a trail of really hot women and copious amounts of whiskey and cigar smoke, it's the self-righteous hypocrites who think because they got their head dunked in a bucket of water and said they accepted some guy Jesus.

And so they're going to live life eternal bowling with the angels because they are aware of the sins they've committed while damning others to Hell because them folks are ignorant of what Jesus said is right and wrong, so therefore they should be punished in eternal damnation for their ignorance.

But you and the rest dressed in your really spiffy Sunday suits get a pass because you know you can fess up on Saturday, do your 10 Hail Marys, and all is forgiven. And you can judge the heathens too, because you have been saved. The judge not rule only applies to the those who never even heard it because they have not accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Yeah, sure.

God is watching. Hell awaits.

Oh, wait, I actually just read the rest of your comment. You you're a mentor, and I'm a mentee? Well isn't that precious.

Yes, I'll meet you on your Christian_Clean stream for counseling (where I've been banned from that exclusive club which I've never even commented on while you yourself have also blocked me). Tell Yahweh I appreciate your saintly help, and that you yourself has spread your blessed wings and are carrying me to Heaven right now as you read this this.

And these people can't figure out why only 144,000 of the Sainted Chosen (that's Jews to you and me) will get to enter the Pearly Gates, plus a handful of Gentiles best based on the worthiness of their works.

If you see his comment a bit above, he's offering counseling, to be a mentor to me. He has me banned on that Christians_Clean stream, and he told another user that he had me blocked as well. And now he's going to be my mentor into Heaven. Someone hand me a hanky, I'm getting all misty here.

It's people like him which is why I stopped going to Church in the first place. It's people like him that I keep running into when I'm considering maybe to go again even though I'm not exactly what one would call a believer or strict believer, but I actually I always did enjoy Mass and some of those people are quite nice. But it's people like him that prevent me from actually going back or going to another church, another denomination. Plus I got a big mouth, so when they start spewing their hypocrisy, I'm going to shut that bs right down, and that wouldn't be polite for the rest of the people around.

Exactly. I never understood what it is this truth that these people are supposedly learning when all they do is keep it to themselves and use it for nothing other than to feel self righteous about their wonderful selves. What's the purpose of spreading the word when they don't heed it themselves?

Help the sick, feed the needy - and not only during Easter break, Christmas vacation, and on Thanksgiving Day. There was a soup kitchen near where my apartment was called P.O.T.S. As it was across the street from Fordham University, many students who didn't go home for the holidays volunteered there during those holidays. Their volunteering is appreciated, but why only on those holidays?

I knew somebody who did that once. He and his mother were bragging about his stint there even before it began. I told him it was cool that he's doing that, but what happens after the holidays over? do those people not eat anymore?

So s week or so after Christmas or Easter whatever it was, he's telling me, "Oh, you were absolutely right, all these new people volunteering, but then the week later they're all gone." The thing is, he was one of them and he also only did it for the one week. And the dude's father was a pastor as well. They were always going on about how awful everybody else was except for them. Because they've been saved. Bunch of hypocrites.

You know not whereof you speak, Noo Gone. Diogenes is one of the finest people you will encounter in this life. He is extremely smart and understands life and politics better than most people ever will.

For you to make a comment like that to someone you probably know nothing about, does not seem wise. To ever accuse him of being part of the problem is just ridiculous. If everyone was as good a person as Diogenes, we would have world peace.

And if everyone was like the man in the dress above, we would have no hope for our future. This person does not belong in libraries influencing or being around young children.

I am sorry to say that you are on the wrong side of this issue as it clearly is one of right and wrong. Hopefully, when you grow up, you will understand the need to protect innocent little minds and not throw them to the wolves.

Charlie Kirk was an asset to a political machine that forces kids and young adults to turn on one another and forced to look at the world in a black/white lens (or as you perceive it, an "issue of right and wrong"). Really protecting free thinking, eh?
I wish not to stir any emotion because it's simply not worth my time arguing with the product of institutionalized polarization. . . But go on! Think freely! You among MILLIONS both left and right are following a corporate blueprint at the expense of every American because desensitizing bigotry and hypocrisy takes our minds off of corruption and the moral decay of our society.
4 ups, 2d,

If you consider desensitizing bigotry as not allowing drag queens into our libraries with young children, sign me up for desensitizing bigotry.

What are you even talking about? We are talking about protection of children and their innocence. We do not think the drag queens should be brought up as role models when we are trying to guide our young minds to embracing the right values and paths in life.

Charlie Kirk was a uniter and not a divider. He was a person who stood for strong morals and free thought. He encouraged open debate and challenged young people to think. He wanted them to defend their positions and by doing so, often showed them that they really could not support their 'feelings'. To drag him into this is really reaching, Jazz.

I am talking about the moral decay of society, fyi. I constantly talk about the corruption & the fraud within our government. So, I don't understand where you are coming from and perhaps the new term of "desensitizing bigotry"is the next "white privilege, toxic masculinity, xenophobic, transphobic, homophobic, and generally phobic phobic term. ๐Ÿค”

How does it harm children when a drag queen reads a book to them in a library?

And Charlie Kirk was absolutely a divider. He felt that black people were inferior to him and pretty much everyone who didn't share his values was inferior to him.

You do not know me yet presume to make a blanket statement such as I don't care about libraries? How do you think I got through HS & college? I took our kids to the library several times a week. Our son learned how to write his name so he could get a library card.

Even AI answered your Kirk question in no time flat (you have been fed liberal drivel, not facts).

Charlie Kirkโ€™s ability to unite different people was widely attributed to his skill in building coalitions across ideological and personal divides within the conservative movement. Michael Knowles described this as Kirkโ€™s โ€œsuperpowerโ€โ€”his capacity to persuade individuals and factions who disliked each other to cooperate for shared goals, maintaining unity even amid clashing personalities and priorities. This talent helped solidify the conservative youth movement and sustain momentum during politically critical moments.

Kirk fostered a โ€œbig-tentโ€ approach, focusing on common direction rather than complete agreement, which enabled broad collaboration within the right. He emphasized face-to-face dialogue, rational debate, and relationship-building, both on college campuses and through Turning Point USA. Friends and allies noted that many who trusted him did not necessarily trust one another, underscoring his role as a unifying figure.

Kirk prioritized shared objectives over ideological purity, resisting internal divisions.
He engaged opponents through respectful, unedited debates, promoting dialogue over confrontation. His leadership was seen as relational and diplomatic, navigating egos and grievances to maintain cohesion.

Even critics acknowledged his effectiveness in mobilizing diverse factions under a common cause. Tributes highlighted how his death brought together political figures like Donald Trump and Elon Musk, symbolizing his lasting role as a unifier.

College students needing safe spaces? In the news but unheard of in my day! Ridiculous and time for the soy boys and misguided young women (who often lead them) to grow up.

Lokiare has no need for a mental hospital, or drag queens in libraries, or tampons in the boys' restrooms, a list of pronouns, or picking one of 59 genders. He is a squared away, smart conservative man and you could learn from him if you could just separate the wheat from the
