I didn't even know of Obama's basketball court until you just mentioned it. Also the that was actually an already existing tennis court that existed a long time before Obama even ran for office and he adapted it for basketball. Also you're comparing apples to oranges. Merely adapting an already existing tennis court for basketball is nowhere near expensive as a whole entire fancy ballroom.

Obama made some adjustments to an existing tennis court, having lines painted (by a company that donated their services) and adding a couple of hoops, that and 12 NBA basketballs coming out to a cost of about $70,000.

As there is no record of that expense coming from Government funding, either the Obama's paid for it themselves or donors did.

I bet Trump still wants it made of gold too. At taxpayer expense.

And they did so without a ridiculous golden ballroom.

Also months ago Trump had said he was going to sue the government for all the trials he never even went through and get the $400 million from the Treasury that way. $400 million that supposedly he had already raised from corporations trying to buy him.
