A few months back we could see a wreak on the road in front of my home, a neighbor and I responded since it typically takes 20+ minutes to see a 1st responder this far out. I had to use google translate to get a rig to block the road, he didn't speak English and we needed to block the road because there were bodies lying in the open. Before we could get there two drivers staggered out and dropped, DOA when we did reach them. The neighbor and I picked a side and started stopping traffic, severely wounded in vehicles and the last thing we wanted was more people to drive into the mess. The driver of the rig left when the first blue lights showed up but probably saved lives.

Because we are so far out wreaks are common, people try and pass going up the hill, and at least every few months someone gets killed. If I don't hear the accident the dogs let me know. The neighbor's house is across from mine up the hill, I can barely see his roof, but we have done this a few times now, never seen a single accident that wasn't caused by an idiot. Snow, fog, even ice doesn't cause as many issues as drugged up and drunk drivers.

Last year alone seven people died within sight of my home, more just over the hill. All of them were locals except one. In every case drugs or alcohol played a role. There were a few vehicles that went off road to avoid accidents, and no one was hurt other than fences and the vehicles. One vehicle did hit a deer, no significant damage to the car.

From what I am seeing and hearing many people drive impaired. Waking up to people screaming in pain, trapped in smoking vehicles, knowing they will probably die before anyone with the equipment to extract them is not fun. In all the years that I have owned this place only one died quickly. I watched her get hit, was right there and she was the exception.

Drunk/stoned, too old/stupid/oblivious to drive, just plain mean. . .seen it all and wonder how these people are able to drive on the road.

the truck was his tool used, who ever put him in that truck knowing he was illegal is as guilty

Those people would still be alive if not for leftism.

Many of the illegals have drivers' licenses and a few have SSN's thanks to the demonrats abuse of the system. The trucking company might suspect they are illegal but don't usually have a way to check.

If they don't check its because they already know. FED law illegal to hire illegals in EVERY state

You are probably right whoever hired them should know and many would hire them anyway. I wasn't defending them; I was commenting on what I heard others claim.

I know , just giving you some more ammo. I work construction 40 years every contractor in AZ knew they were hiring illegals. They use fake SS numbers also. My employer would get notified ever 6 months with a list of bad SS numbers , the wet would change 1 number and resubmit ..good for another 6 months. No one follows up from gov. Been going on since the late 60's..

Same here, contract labor is thick with illegals. What has changed is a few are now working to get legal; I never saw that before Trump took over. I have family that work in factories and heard the same, HR announced immigration lawyers would help with anyone that needed it. I tend to lean on the send them all home crowd but if they can get legal, I would be ok with it. I still think there should be some sort of punishment though, fines, whatever. That is a discussion for another time

YES like pay back taxes, if they are on payroll they claim 10 dep.( 21 year old ) pay nothing or lot get cash under the table. They want all the benefits of the US system but want to dodge all the requirements of that system.

Another way they game the system is having kids and declaring they are a single parent household. They’re not legally married, but the father and mother live together. The mother says she doesn’t know where the father is. More welfare benefits than a married couple.

Employers face a discrimination lawsuit if they don’t hire the applicant based on the SUSPICION they are illegal.

In California there are companies set up by ethnic groups for non English speakers to get their license. It’s an industry. They are fly by night and shutdown if any issues arise.

The employers have to hire everyone or face a discrimination lawsuit. The employee submits documents to the employer to document the right to work. The employer send it to the feds. If it doesn’t match up, a notice is sent to the employer to have the employee resubmit the documents. The employee has 30 days to do that. If those documents are not supportive, notices are again sent to the employer. The employee has another 30 days to provide the valid documents. If the third time the documents are not satisfactory, a notice is sent that the federal government will meet with the employee at the place of work to inspect his documents.

Guess what!

I have seen employees work for 4-6 months and then disappear. Months onths later they show up again and work for a few months.

NOT true AZ is still right to work state which means employers can hire & fire at will.
2 ups, 1mo
Yes, Arizona has right to work law. Federal discrimination law, however, still applies. In Arizona, employer is required by state law to reject employment, if not approved through e-verify. The Arizona employer who rejects an employee based on suspicion of being illegal without conducting e-verify could get sued for discrimination.

It’s not mandatory by the federal government. Several years back Arizona made e-verify mandatory for employers in the state.

But it is available nationwide if employer wants to be law biding they can use it. It is illegal by fed law to hire illegals in every state. Blue states no longer want to be part of the Union of american states. Just like the south in Civil War

Yes, e-verify is available to all employers nationwide. But many don’t want to risk the lawsuit of profiling an applicant.
2 ups, 1mo
Checking legal status is not profiling its actually required by fed law for employment. , just hasn't been enforce
