Second, it has long been the law that an ICE agent has got the legal authority to detain anyone interfering in an ICE operation. So when the ICE agents ordered Renee Goodman to shut off her engine and exit the vehicle it was not just a suggestion. By gunning her engine instead and heading directly for an ICE agent not only was she breaking established law but was directly endangering a federal agent. It was a justified shooting in self-defense.
