Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet. The fact you think there is no American culture points to your recent immigration or leftist indoctrination. American culture is all over and has been exported to the world in movies and music and literature.

Discovering how to bake an apple pie is no different than discovering fire.

A discovery is something that could be made without human intervention. Lava or lightning could easily set things ablaze. Meanwhile, an invention is made by humans. Apple pie was invented, not discovered.

Just because you observed it doesnt mean there was no invention. Man can’t create fire by lava or lightning because they can’t make either of those things. So someone had to come up with, or “invent” a way to start a fire without lava or lightning.

The point is your believe that all human invention is attributable to certain culture. Thats incorrect. Things become associated with cultures because they are common to people of that culture.

Parts of our culture has roots in other countries reflecting our heritage, but there are iconic things that are of American culture and origin. America has a culture whether it incorporates things rooted in other cultures is irrelevant. You presume their is no American culture which shows you don’t understand it or aren’t a part of it.
