Healthcare is the most regulated industry, but the bureaucrats regulating it aren't held accountable

Let's just pretend that Obamacare wasn't built upon Hillarycare, which America resisted.

Ah I see. So when the health insurance companies just keep rising their prices, let's just add a layer of government to it so that it will cost even more. That way the government gets richer also.

Because government fixes everything... by making things unaffordable.

Oh and Obama fixed the imaginary healthcare crisis by just forcing everyone to buy Obamacare. And if you don't like it they will call you a fascist or a nazi.

There simply was NO healthcare crisis until Obama created one by forcing Obamacare on us.

It's more than that. A company can make a pill that costs $20 in Britain or France. . .and in the USA it'll cost $120. The usual excuse is 'the US can afford it plus the cost of research.'. . .three guess who just put a sudden halt to that. Seventeen drug/pharm companies just agreed to stop doing that so the USA will now pay the same low price as the rest of the world.

Figures that you'd want to add even more government to it. Anything Trump wants, anything Blue States have to fund, that ol' dance yet again?

Obamacare was a hybrid solution to appease the Republicans - instead of so-called "free" universal health care as originally intended, it's a mix of public and private. Private being insurance companies and once Republicans in Congress started refusing to oversee and regulate the insurers and pharmaceuticals to prevent excessive nd unwarranted increases from them as the ACA required, we got the situation we got now.

The mandate was ended by the Supreme Court years ago, no one is still required to buy into the ACA. They are free to pay for their own medical bills if they choose, which is how it should be. Remove insurers, and the marketplace decides what people would pay for their own medical care. But that would be capitalism and we just can't have that now in our capitalistic society, now can we, right?

Let's me explain where you are wrong. Everything you said. That's where you are wrong.

"Obamacare... to appease the Republicans?" You gotta admit. That one was funny. 😂😂😂

You know me better than to say that I am an "Anything Trump wants" kind of guy. Trump talked about government run healthcare when he started campaigning for president in 2016. That was one of the reasons why I didn't vote for him in 2016. If he tries to do it again then I will not support that.

I want all legislation that has anything to do with healthcare eliminated. I do not want the government involved in any aspect of our healthcare.

I want all sorts of competition in the healthcare industry because competition always benefits the consumer. When the government gets involved, competition is reduced or eliminated and that always harms the consumer. When the government takes over completely then you get death panels just like Canada. You get year long waiting lists for emergency services.

Nothing is "free". You either pay for it in taxes, or you pay for it in taxes and health insurance. OR you let the free market work and provide systems where you don't need big bloated health insurance companies and you pay a whole lot less than anything we have seen in several decades.

"You know I was never in Dear Leader's cult"

What you want is really nice and all that kind of stuff, but I'm not Santa. I simply stated how the Affordable Care Act was supposed to work and what happened wrong with that. You said I was wrong but instead of saying why it was wrong, you gave me a wish list.

You are no longer required to participate in the ACA. So don't. Don't buy health insurance either, that's socialism. Pay for your own medical bills.

The chief architect of Obamacare said it was designed to fail. But he and Obama were hoping that it's failure would lead to complete government run healthcare, just like Canada, just like the UK and everywhere else in the world where getting healthcare takes 10^39423432 longer to get service than our current healthcare.

You may be used to that kind of healthcare in NYC. That's kind of how it was in L.A. Plus the doctors treat you like cattle. Maybe that is not true in NYC but it was in L.A.

BUT that is not at all true in Missouri or Utah. It was almost like So. Cal when we lived in SLC but we don't live in the city, we live in the suburbs.

The waits are not long and the doctors treat you like human beings. The only time I ever saw a long wait line in Missouri is when my sister-in-law moved in with his for a couple of years. She was very low income and was on Medicaid or whatever it is for people who are not insured through their employer. We took her to the emergency room for something and we waited 4 hours.

But then that is what you can expect from government healthcare. I think the longest I ever had to wait for anything was maybe 45 minutes and that was a fluke. Normally it was about 5 to maybe 15 minutes.

Remember when Republicans warned Obama about death panels and all of the Democrats laughed and ridiculed us. Remember? Good times. Except death panels were included in another bill, not the UCA... oops I meant the ACA. And look at Canada. To help shorten the line they are telling people that have a 1+ year wait for terminal and NON TERMINAL cases, Canada is telling them to just kill themselves. They will help them kill themselves but they have to wait about a year for a euthanasia specialist to kill you.

That's why there never ever was a health care crisis in America. It was invented by the Democrats to push this nightmare on us.

BTW I am not very happy with Trump. It did take away the individual mandate in his first term but I want him to removed all traces of Obamacare from our government. I want him to remove all traces of every other kind of healthcare legislation that protects or regulates the insurance companies. Trump is the only president who has come close to even talking about it.

The Republitards in Congress talked real big passing one legislation after another that they knew Obama would strike down. But when Trump got in office the first time you never heard a peep out of the Republitards who had the majority
