I'm against abortion as a form of birth control. There are too many options available for women and men these days for that to ever need to be considered. In the case of rape it should be the womans decision, I wouldn't want a daily reminder of the event as well as the kid was born from a bad seed, will probably grow up to be a bad seed itself.

I'm against it when it comes to the health of the woman, too many late term abortions have happened because of her "mental health", as well as the idea that up to 100 years ago 1 in 4 women died in childbirth, they had a reason to be picky as to who they got together with, the man had to be willing and capable of raising the kid if that happened.

These days there's too much "woo-hoo" nights of drinking, waking up realizing she hooked up with a deadbeat, didn't take proper precautions the night before, and so goes to the clinic to get rid of the problem. It shouldn't be that easy for them, they need to have reasons to be a little more choosy in who they choose to hook up with.

The excuse that they were too blank in the head to know what they were doing when they were doing it is a bit overused and having the child that they produced during their lapse into dimwittednes would be a great way to teach them the error of their ways.

But chances are they wouldn't learn and the fact is do we really want them to keep reproducing? We have evidence that human skulls have been evolving to be smaller over the last 8,000 years, and as smaller-brained people continue to have the most children, that's hardly a trend that's going to reverse.

While there have been significant improvements in medical care, it is nowhere near 100%. There was a case last year where a woman in state that had a illegalized abortion died while waiting for something to be done about her pregnancy that had put her life at risk.

I haven't followed up on the story (too depressing), but I doubt the baby survived the mother's death.
