I was today years old when I found out about this. This intrigued me because his dad is a super duper whack job liberal. The kind that that if Trump said the sky was blue and you took Martin out of his house on a bright sunny day he would say it was green, just because Trump said it was blue.

So I never in a million years would think his son, especially after some of the stuff he's said and done, would ever think to wander off the liberal plantation.

This is the problem with having such an unhinged and irrational hatred of liberals, that you take whatever they say and think the opposite is true even if it's something you would actually agree with. You don't even stop to think about it. It's just a knee jerk reaction to hate whatever they say is good and vice versa

I lost most of my liberal relatives when I refused to play along with fake vaccines and masks. They dropped me out of their lives because "I was endangering them" by not taking the shot, I never let them back into my life. Discussing President Trumps second term would be unbearable and ruin not only my meal but everyone else's too. The left are clueless when politics are mentioned, they confuse being loud with being right. I just don't invite them, haven't for years now.

The impact to me was minimal, they were so indoctrinated by the left, they were basically parasites. They would gladly show up after we processed animals or gathered in crops, free food was a big drawl. I never saw them when I needed help around here. Now I occasionally get a call from some other relative asking why I don't talk to so and so, I just tell them, we have nothing in common and drifted away from each other.

My advice is dump the parasites and allow in people that add value to your life. Enjoy Thanksgiving with people you care about. This year I will have almost an even mix of blood relatives and friends, it will be a great day, one I am looking forward to.

That is sad when it is that direction. When I created the meme I was only thinking about the child who disowned his/her parents over politics. I didn't think about parents disowning their child. I left political sides off the meme but everyone knows that it will always be the liberal who will be absolute jerks to conservatives and not the other way around. That sucks when it is liberal parents.

I don't disagree with you. Liberals, many times, are just awful people. Fortunately my late brother's wife and their children are not those kind of liberals. They're old school libs and actually use their brains. It is the libs who have shut down their brains, turn on the TV to get their marching orders, who are the ones being instructed to hate everyone that disagrees with them.

My wife didn't have political problems with her dad but her dad was verbally abusive to her. She couldn't ask him a question without him yelling at her. Both hers and my parents have passed away. So we no longer have to worry about parents or in-law situations.

I have been having a discussion about that very thing with BurntFinger on this meme. His parents are liberals, the sucky kind, and they no longer want him in the house with them.

My intention wasn't to get families to try to put up with a leftwing lunatic at the dinner table on Thanksgiving. It was to try to talk some sense to the left wing lunatics who alienated their families because they weren't leftwing lunatics like they are.

Conservatives tend not to exhibit that kind of behavior towards liberals. Not all liberals exhibit that behavior. My late brother's wife and her kids are a lot of fun to be around and their all liberals.

The problem is that liberalism has become the ideology of hate. They hate everyone who does not march in lockstep with them. And that hatred is some of the worst I have ever seen before. Liberals never used to be like that. Conservatives, for the most part, have never acted like that. I can't say that for all conservatives because some people just hate other people regardless of politics, religion or whatever. They're just nasty people to be around.

No matter how much God loves you, a loving mother will love you more.

God and family are actually the same thing. God is the father of our spirit while mom and dad are the parents of our bodies. This is why He is our Heavenly Father in very much the same sense as your father and mother.

And God actually does love you more than your mom. He also loves your mom and dad. He also knows each one of us better than our parents.
