Yep read you and agree 100 percent. To me the greatest enemy the Western World has ever known is Self Gratification by Proxy / Woke / Virtue Signalling or whatever else its called. We are watching in real time the destruction of everything our forbears fought for. In particular I worry about the Little Ones and women, because say 30 years ago the Woke religion were into Aboriginals here in Australia as well as women and women's rights. Somehow tho, now, its all about open borders and embracing Islam. Which is fine, except over in Europe, women are now just targets and sadly unless they fight for it, women will just no longer be able to go out alone, like they used to, unless of course they wanted to be raped or harassed and particularly those on the Left excuse it! Go figure!

The females of the left include males with mental issues who believed themselves to be female, while the real females encourage it. Rasing children in such a group will prove impossible. Even with adoption and a few going the natural route the numbers will never reach replacement levels. The left is dying out. The children raised with traditional values will continue to grow and the system will right itself. The TPUSA raise is no accident, it is a sign that Americas future is secure.

Spoken like a Boomer,
not taking responsibility for the world they left behind.
This is the Boomer generation's doing. They had it the best, were spoiled hedonists,
and left the rest of the globe's younger generations this for their legacy. No thank you.

Boomers might be fortunate to get the heck out,
prior to this Youngest generation under age 20 going all
libweirdo on anyone over 40yrs old, to cull the herd of the "expenses of expendables", God forbid.

When Boomers worry about their grandchildren, they ought be concerned.
Maybe they want one of their 3 rental and vacation houses, and are getting impatient for inheritance?

We didn't cause those problems. It was the Democrats fault.

Democrats have the reverse Midas touch, everything they touch turns into pig feces.

If you still want to blame boomers then blame Democrat boomers.

I cannot speak for Inconvenientruths but how I took his meme was more of a we did our best but you guys just screwed it up so bad that we're just glad we have less years ahead of us than behind us.

You want to accuse us of leaving a mess. 40% of the 18 to 30 demographic have a favorable view of socialism. Deal with that. Socialism is responsible for hundreds of millions of deaths. And you wonder why that demographic are shooting up schools and movie theaters. Why that demographic tried to assassinate Trump. That demographic killed Charlie Kirk.

We didn't make that kind of mess. Most of us, hopefully, will be gone from this world before the rising socialist generation completely destroys everything that makes life worth living. Or as Douglas Adams wrote, "So long and thanks for all the fish".

Yep too true, whilst not just the fault of Self Gratification by Proxy / Wokeness and the way it has been embraced by the Progressives, most of it has. Look at the fall of Europe and the UK in particular, the Conservatives played a part in it, when they KNEW that bringing in Third World people was never, ever, going to work and yet they did it anyway and well Labor just accelerated it by jailing anyone who wanted to protect Little Ones and women. And well to the US, which has sort of dodged a bullet, but it will take a decade or 2 before they can put out the fires by the Biden administration. Yes it was not Biden, because everyone KNEW he did not even know who he was, let alone anyone else, but whoever made the decision to open the borders would have known it was a recipe for disaster. Then we cannot leave this without the insanity of the 69 gender thing. To me it is tragic, because indoctrinators (so called educators) are trying to push into kids that these psychological issues are real, as opposed to years ago when kids with issues were treated to help them get thru it. And this thing now where the murder of babies has a plethora of names and platitudes like "my body, my choice etc, when years ago most women took responsibility and used assorted protection, rather than murdering an unborn baby, because they don't want to take responsibility. Hell I could go on, but won't!

So, there aren't any non-Reagan Republican Greedy snow nosed Boomer-Yuppies from the '80's;
no "Bush Family Values, Pro-Abortion Republicans" from the .70's, which is the platform that Papa Bush ran against Reagan on in the Primaries leading up to the 1980 election;
& somehow there's NO Decmocrat Boomers.

That assertion of Political Party exemption from the exponential BOOMER lifestyles is from LaLa-Land; and maybe one might benefit from reading "Generations" or "The Fourth Turning" written
in partnership by one of AL GORES classmates at Yale, t'o come to the understanding of just which
Archetype the Boomer profile fits, the historical 'turning' cycle we're in, and what this has historically meant for the Secular world. No accusations, just accurate observations on the narcissist generation, all bloated with hubris throughout their dismal existence.

Boomers groomed the rising socialist generation to be whom they are rising to become either through Republican Omission, blind-eye ignoring Democrat Commission of infiltrating schools, workplace, etc.
Boomers will likely check out on their own spoiled doing, and leave a parting gift of
Global Technocracy;
and the demise of, as Veblen coined it, the Price System, replacing currency with an Energy/Credit
System monitored and managed through AI by Engineers designs taking charge
The rising generation will not own property and be happy, not because of socialism, yet out
of compliance through complete surrender to technology,
...which boomer computer programmers got grotesquely gluttonous upon, whilst leading us to this place we're now going to find ourselves within.

technocracyinc.org
is what we'll get on modern AI GROK/StarLink steroids,
and they'll use tried and true socialist dreams and communist schemes (Stuart Chase) to
take over the Free Market and place their new system, which is opposed to both communism and capitalism, to wield technocracy as the Coin of The Realm.

Too bad BOOMERS won't be around to take part in all the fun of the next First Turning, Globally.
If this be God's Will, then so be it.

What I have a problem with is that you tried to cover so much ground in your reply you became disjointed. It is a common problem for people driven by passion which clearly you reply shows. I am not complaining about your reply, just trying to offer some constructive criticism.

Focus on 1 or 2 things and explain you position thoroughly on those 1 or 2 things.

And for goodness sakes, stop with the stereotypes. I was never a yuppie. Yuppies were not all Republicans and even though that label died in the 80's that mentality still exists today.

We're not all narcissists. Narcissism today is far worse than in my younger days. And for that the left are the worst. They demand that everyone conform to think just like the left. And if you do not conform to the leftist mindset then you are labeled with any number of standard accusations and/or insults. None of which have any accuracy or are based on any real comparison. Which is the other problem with the left, words can be redefined as needed. Like fascism, there are no fascists, based on Giovanni Gentile own writings in America, none. Yet the narcissistic left constantly calls people on the right fascists. And they redefine the word each time. So much so that fascism today simply means, "if you do not conform to my ideology then I must dehumanize you."

The same applies to all of the other standard accusations and/or insults.

The one thing I have always hated about this whole cataloging of people based on when they were born is that it foments hate. They left, despite all of they bloviating otherwise, are driven entirely on hate. They hate the rich, they hate white people, they hate conservatives, they hate Jews and Christians, they hate everyone they label as oppressors. The worst thing about that is there are no oppressors in this country (other than the left). None. The left has been conditioned that way because Marxism cannot be pushed on a society that has no oppressors. That why, when he invented the words capitalism, he also defined it. The problem is that Marx was a control freak who could not let the market be free. So he invented all sorts of problems a free market is supposed to have. Coincidentally everyone of those problems in America were created by Marxists, going back before any of the boomers were born. And many more problems that have been created since the boomers, Gen X and all the other generations were born.

Those boomers left you the rights to fight, and 150 million guns to fight with. At least grant them that

That was the founding fathers that left us the 2nd amendment. Boomers had nothing to do with it.

And we're still alive and we still have our guns.

But that is not a boomer thing. There are people of all age groups who own guns on the right and the left. Just fewer on the left because just saying the word "gun" makes most leftists, of all age groups, pee their pants and run to their safe space to cry into their blanky.

I've never taken any illegal drug, never smoked pot, never drank alcohol.

I am not sure how they could get an accurate count of the number of guns in the country.

There are a lot of guns that were purchased before the existence of haplophobia in this country.

I know they can get a number of guns purchased since they started requiring background checks. That doesn't account for any of the guns criminals buy on the black market or steal, nor does it account for guns purchased prior to background checks.

I would not be surprised if there were 150 million guns. I heard a stat that said there are more guns in (I think it was) North Dakota than most of the militaries around the world. I know there are more guns legally owned than gun owners. Because most guns owners have more than one gun. Many have several more than one.

The Supreme Court just made Constitution carry the law of the land. Blue states no longer have the privilege of preventing people from legally owning and carrying firearms. However, that does not mean blue states will ever fully honor the 2nd amendment. They have been far too brainwashed into thinking guns are the cause of all of the problems in the world. No, liberalism is the cause of all of the problems in the world.

Wow. More Power to ya'.
The Mormon, Stand Alone BOOMER

The accurate count is more like 400M legal purchased property USA guns.
That's why 150M is a ridiculous statement from the get go.
If 400M, you are accurately correct in your surmising that there are more of these weapons legally owned than one per gun owner, and more than one per citizen. What of Ammo ?
Regardless, this demonstrates that the improper use of said items is minimal. Prevalent, yes.

Calling me a Boomer doesn't insult me. It makes me wonder why it is so important for younger generations to classify people by age. I think the left are the ones who created the word "ageism". So doesn't that make you an "ageist". You might want to watch out because you leftist overlords might send you to the salt mines for saying stuff like that. They'll kick you out of the club and call you a racist, homophobe. Then they will excommunicate you and then comes the shunning. You don't want that, now do you?

It's not meant as an insult, just an observation.

Here is a Boomer with an idea:

Strauss & Howe Generational Theory
is agreed upon by the likes right and left of Newt Gingrich, Steve Bannon and Al Gore

Doesn't matter if I buy into it or not, as it's sufficient to understand that these people buy into it, as does the WEF, Henry Kissinger, and the peeps that meet quarterly in an open secret, by using the Chatham House Rule at the
Canadian/UK/American Ditchley Foundation

Just because they think there are differences in the generations, it means nothing to me. I still thing people are just people. The times may change be the people remain the same.

There is a very dangerous difference that I am seeing. The people who always used to say "we need to have a conversation" are now the very same people who will shoot you in the neck if you try to have that conversation.

But even back then, the right knew that the "conversation" the left wanted was a monologue followed by the right just believing every word they say. When they said "conversation" they meant "conformity".

I just don't think the far left is capable of empathy. Nor do they want to think for themselves. They prefer "experts" to do their thinking for them. Thinking for themselves scares them because it could lead to change and they fear change.

It's the boomers that fled into colleges to avoid Vietnam caused the hedonism, ultra liberal cult, and most of the rest of today's society issues. Don't blame those of us who made things for the country and fixed those things when they broke for what happened. We raised our kids right, and they're raising their kids right, but the leftist idiocy is rising anyway. That's why I worry for my grandkids.

tbh,
if you identify with the Boomers, and you were a producer, you are not the norm.

The Greatest Generation, the Silent Generation, Gen X, and even Millennials have contributed more to society and taken, very much taken much less. Boomers are Consumers & Polluters, the rest are Producers. If you produced, you are not like your cohorts.

Remember it was "
The greatest generation" that was in power and put the boomers through Vietnam and the Gulf War. It was the greatest generation that was in power that set up the welfare state and mass immigration. It was the greatest generation that made China a powerful nation. The boomer drug problem has much of that to blame their woes on. I'm not siding with the druggie or the second generation of welfare bums, but the boomers you blame for so much are victims of that greatest generation.

&
The Wealthiest man on earth at the time, Wu Bingjian, Houqua, or Howqua didn't make China a powerful nation by investing a fortune in USA Railroads in the 1840's through his adopted son, John Murray Forbes; a favorite of the Railroad Tycoons...
(to use Chinese, Irish, and German Labor rather than African-American Slave Labor)

...allegedly according to your statement above, it was not the Opium & Tea Trade of the Forbes Family for a century, yet only when Dr. Henry Kissinger opened up Red China for Nixon in the early 1970's that made China a powerful nation
& Mitch McConnell isn't married into Chinese Container Shipping Tycoons through the Panama Canal. I guess he's a victim of that greatest generation too ?

Do refer to the meme title given:
"Thank God I am a BOOMER and on the Way out, not in."
So, it's in the title that there is a group, and a definition of who is in and out is implied.

Whether anyone is a member on this thread really doesn't matter a hill of beans,
except to intrinsically take things personally by identifying with this particular group,
or not.

The Economics dude's invisible hand is down his pants, scratching for comfort,
lashing out and calling people leftist this or that in an expression that is utter baloney.
Quite the stretch, based upon zero evidence. Like a leftist he speaks of would do.
