Schumer's Shutdown is over

They complain because their followers didn't get food stamp benefits this month. So what do they do? Get conned into shutting it down and hurting what's left of their base.

Since Schumer already knew that this would be the eventual end result of the Dem Party holding the nation hostage with Trump -- instead of RINOs -- in charge, one needs to ask what Schumer's goal really was. It wasn't to get a bunch of leftist nation-haters elected, because in Dem Party dominated states they were already an inevitable shoe-in for election or re-election. So what was his real goal?

Supposedly the Extreme Left wing of his party led him to do it. Pundits claim he is afraid AOC is gonna go after his seat.

I hope she does. She would be even worse for the Party in his job because she has about half his IQ.

I bet AOC and the squad won't get the same considerations. . .the name Charles Rangel comes to mind with those five or six. . .

This is true; with a 'clean' slate comes a change of the times. They know AOC is corrupt from the get-go and so will be watching for her to get arrogant and start making mistakes.

Even if he loses his position, it is not enough, he needs to face justice for all the crimes the dims committed under his watch.

I really wish that instead of just cutting off subsidies to Obamacare for illegal aliens that they would just completely dump every single word of the Obamacare bill. Totally repeal it and any support legislation that jas been passed since the unAffordable Care Act was forced on us.

I would even go back further and repeal any legislation that benefits or harms the health insurance industry in any way.

Then everyone would be able to afford healthcare care. Let the free market and competition give us the best healthcare at the lowest cost. Keep the government out of it altogether. Competition always benefits the consumer.

It's just a pipe dream. Trump likes the idea of government run healthcare care. He may not like Obamacare but he still thinks the government should do something.

Trump's the closest president to free the market in my lifetime but he's still got a long way to go.

Nobody in Washington seems to understand that to solve the problem you need to understand what caused it.
In the 40s the AMA decided if they just had less Dr's they could make more money per Dr so they reduced their numbers. By the 50s Dr's didn't make house calls anymore. And Insurance went from being considered gambling to being legit.
By the 80s the head of the trial lawyers association declared it was time for them to get their fair share of the wealth Dr's and Insurance Execs had suddenly gotten.
If you don't undo those 3 factors that created the problem you will never fix it.
We need more Dr's, caps on Insurance exec pay and to cut the profit to trial lawyers to where the profits from a lawsuit go to the victim. IE putting an end to lawsuit lottery.

Several years ago there was a clinic that decided they were going to offer a subscription service that would cover all of the services they offered along with all of your prescriptions. They charged $75 per patient.

The insurance companies sued them claiming they had become insurance providers. Because the insurance companies have tons of money and all sorts of friends in the government, they won their lawsuit. The clinic offered a compromise and said they would charge extra for prescriptions. The insurance companies didn't like that and had the government shut that down.

In the end the free market was less free, the consumer suffered immensely and the health insurance companies and government fat cats got richer.

This is why I want the government 100% out of the way on private business. If the health insurance companies can't compete with a clinic offering a subscription then it sucks to be a health insurance company.

Bad businesses must be punished by the free market, not propped up by the government.
